Hey guys! Add me as a friend and get online so I can compete with you guys!

What one was it?
The "Ransom" icon to do with Gracie, the girl we kidnapped.

Anyways, finished the game...

I chose to take the deal for the hell of it, despite not being able to spend the money on much. VERY unfortunetely, by pure mistake JUST before the ending on this path, I read that Roman was shot which really spoiled it for me and made killing less unexpected.

The final chase for Dimitri was the only challenging mission in the game IMO. The shooting is easy, since there's two health packs around, but once it got to the boat and helicopter bit it got hard. Once I failed to get onto Jacob's chopper, once I got onto the chopper and Dimitri's RPG blew me up literally as soon as I got on board (:ouch: ), and died about 4 times trying to control the darn chopper. I found out by pure luck that the guns on your helicoper is a pure gimmic and that Jacob does the shooting for you, so I slowed down the pursute.

Poor Niko though - a hell of a time.

I'm guessing Elizibeta's strand is very short? I took the bodies and got a call from her afterwards. Upon checking the police computers I found that she has been arrested, damn shame too since she was a pretty cool character.

Now to get to 100%... I'm debating whether or not to cheat before 100% or to wait till 100%.

Unless you already know G.T. and if not if you want to know how it goes if you picked to exact revenge...

Jimmy P gets really pissed at you and kills Kate at the wedding on accident. Then you Jacob and Roman go and chase him down to happiness island and then that's when the ending scene happens. I also agree, poor Niko.

Francis McReary and Gerard McCreary's icons have disappeared off my map before I completed their missions? Is that a glitch or will they come back does anybody know?
They should come back once you do some other missions.

i choose to kill dimitri because like you i didnt want Roman to be dead. I really enjoyed the last 2 missions, taking out dimitri and then Jimmy, luckily for me i passed both on the 1st go. By this stage i was used to the aiming and contols and really didnt have much trouble. Plus i always use the M4 rifle and it just eats enemies for breakfast, before every mission i have full ammo with it and also i make use of the sniper rifle a lot as well. All in all it was a great story line and i enjoyed the missions a lot.
Now i just gotta find all the side stuff to do to get 100%

Why post the game's ending, even in spoiler tags?

1. No one is oging to read it who hasnt finished
2. the people who have finished already know it because they've finished it
3. It;s just a poiler hazard waiting to happen

1. People who HAVE finished it will want to discuss it.
2. Again, what's what's wrong with discussing it? Plus there's two different endings, so they don't know it all.
3. The whole point of the spoiler tag is to not highlight the text. It's easy not to highlight it.

Better in spoiler tags than without them obviously.

Hey, how do you interact with Dwayne to become friends with him? Every single time I call his number, I always get an answering machine.

Um, I haven't finished the game and I read it. I don't really care though, as it just makes me want to see what happens more.

Let him call you, and take him to Cluckin' Bell, unless he specifies something else. I only took him somewhere 3 times, and unlocked his ability.

He called me two or three times and I took him out those times, and now he's a good friend for me. I didn't have to call him once, which was good.

What's your longest session of gameplay? Mine is about 8 and a half hours...

Definitely not something I should be bragging about...

I only played for 15 mins to see what it was like, after stealing some homies car and he tried to get it back...then got stuck on the door handle, that puut a smile on my face lol
looks like an awesome game

also...after I escaped the police I came to this big road black , went full force in to it and got flung through the windscreen, then was stuck in between 2 road blocks on a big bridge with nobody else there, don't think there was any way out as the helicopters etc were out and I was getting sht whenever I went near either end of the bridge

Not really a spoiler, but I'll use the tags anyway. It's regarding Flying Rats.

Until you get all 200, there are no rewards for getting them. I loved how in previous GTA's you would get a weapon spawn or something at your safehouse every 10 or so attained. it was one of those things that immensely increased replay value. 👎 The reward for 200 is cool though, I'll put it in a spoiler tag below this one :dopey:

You get the Annihilator Chopper.

I don't know exactly how long, but on the 30th I played from when I woke up to when I feel back asleep, with food and bathroom breaks. My eyes were blood red. BUMBACLOT!

I dont know, I read them even though I'm not complete the game, most of the time I read it and have no clue what they mean and its all good.

Lovin' this game, I'm not going to rush the story though.

I have to ask, and please only answer yes or no

I just did the weird govt mission where you and jacob shoot down the other helicopter and now that mission strand appears to be over... Do you ever clear things up or at least see Michelle/Karen again? or at least learn more about what happened?

lol guys chill out, a lot of you have worried about how the mission strands disappear...they just reappear by themselves later. Rockstar probably did this to prevent there being 6 icons cluttering the entire map. It also adds a hint of realism. There would be no way you'd be doing missions for 6 different people at the same time.

I would imagine the reason for this is more to do with keeping the games events from happening out of order, also some missions in a strand will undoubtedly take place in areas not unlocked yet by the player.

How do you keep your online rankings? Every time I go online, get up to say level 1, I lose it when I go out of multiplayer. How do I stay on level 1 when I get off and come back to it?

The phonecalls from friends are starting to really annoy me. I know I can put the phone into sleep mode when I'm just exploring and messing around, but when doing the storyline missions, I get phonecalls at the most annoying of times. I'm in a smoking wreck of a car with hardly any health left after a hard mission and I just want to make it to a safehouse to save the game or I'm just about to walk into a marker to start a mission when someone rings and I have to ignore it and have them like me less. Leave me alone losers!

Also, the mission markers are far too small and can be hard to make out when driving up to them at high speed.

With an attitude like that you don't deserve to have any friends! ;)

If you accept the plans and then call back to cancel, you won't lose favor.

Ok now that I finally beat the game last night I can view this thread. Time to get caught up on some reading in here.
I am pretty sure heather and I beat the game with the bad ending. I want to know if there is a good and bad ending depending on the decisions you make. Heather and I made opposite decisions on purpose until the very end and I think our end decision was a bad decision.
Heather beat the story part of the campaign in about 30 hours. I beat it in about 48 hours but thats with a lot of exploring and side missions. We are both only about 60%-70% finished with the campaign. But the story is 100% finished. I am ashamed to say the last mission took me about 10 tries. Took her 2 tries.

I have a question. How do I get the circle back over my "crosshair"? I did an online game yesterday, and for some reason it, it was just a tiny dot which made it impossible to free aim.

Now, when I go into SP, all I have is that tiny dot without the circle that shows their health bar around it. Need to find an answer soon, or otherwise, MP won't be worth playing when I can't see where I'm shooting.

Another major question.
Before GTA4 came out there were videos on Gametrailers.com that showed car dealerships and prices on cars. So when the full game came out I thought for sure we could buy cars or possibly houses. Some of the videos even said "fully customizable" cars. You can even see prices in this video. http://www.gametrailers.com/player/30920.html

There was another video on gametrailers that showed several cars and talked about how they were pre-owned. Looks like the other video was removed because it was misleading people into believing they could buy cars from the dealerships. I thought for sure we could buy cars especially with all the money we get from the campaign. Just doesnt seem like GTA without being able to buy houses or cars or be able to customize cars.

San Andreas was the only GTA game where cars could be customised so it's not like it's a regular feature in the series. I don't miss the feature at all, I thought it was a bit gimmicky and didn't really add much to the game.

I wish they'd removed the dating crap from the game. That's seriously boring.

One thing I am missing, or at least haven't found them if they're there, are the time trials and races that's been a regular feature like the Hotring races, PCJ Playground, etc. There's always been at least a few races and time trials like that in each game since GTAIII. The street races are still there, but I'd like a bit more variation.

The thing I hate most about this game is that you can't run while talking on the phone. Man, I REALLY hate that.

Yeah, especially when you automatically phone someone after a successful mission and you've got angry cops or peds chasing you or shooting you.
