In my choice, Mallorie, Brucie and Kate all call Niko and offer their condolences. Kate also says she's interested in dating again (she dumps you after taking the money) and Mallorie says she's pregnant.

I think that's it, Mallorie says she's pregnant as well but that's about it.

I agree, I used to love riding the NRG's and other motorcycles but now the physics are almost too realistic for the motorcycles to be fun. If I am on a motorcycle I want to go really fast and weave in and out of traffic but too many times while doing this I go headfirst into a car crossing the intersection and I tumble 50 feet down the road (which is pretty funny) I have to be too careful.

Yeah, I was going full speed in the PCJ600 across the bridge when a cop car swerved in to me head on. I died even though I had full health. :lol:

Oh, and a few pages back we were talking about Niko crashing through the windshield in high speed crashes. I managed to crash into a cop head on with my Infernus and he crashed through his windshield -- and I didn't get a wanted level! :lol:

I've never ridden a street bike in real life before but dear god those things can't turn for crap!

In real life a good street bike turns just fine. I had a 96 model 600R4 Ninja and that bike turned great, was light and nimble. My friend has a suzuki savage and it turns for crap. E.G. On my old bike on a normal road (2 lanes) i could turn my bike a u turn with no problem. On his you can't, i rode his around a bit one day and did a u turn at the end of his street and had to go into someones yard about 4 feet just to make the u turn:ouch: On GTA4 i don't even bother with the bikes like i did in VC. Only time i use them is if im having trouble jumping far enough to complete a stunt jump. I took playboy out on a ride on a bike while we were doing something stupid that i had to do with him and flipped the bike and it landed on him and killed him. Had to restart the game after that happened, didn't know how it would effect the story so i didn't chance it. On a side note, is there anyway to restart the game other than turning off the system and turning it back on? Like just load the game?
 
Now that I'm further along in the game (thanks to a new, working, PS3) I'm starting to like it a little more.

Is there a way to make the game run in 1080p? I thought someone mentioned it but I can't find it.

Guys you can unlock the 1080P on the PS3 version by going settings, custom, then unlocking 1080i and 720p
There you go, once you start game its 1080P
I have a 55 inch and looks bit better with a lot less jaggies :)

By the way you need a +40 inch tv with 1080p HDMI

On a side note, is there anyway to restart the game other than turning off the system and turning it back on? Like just load the game?

If you're using the PS3, press the center button and select "Restart game"
If 360, I think you can do almost the same thing. You might have to quit the game and select it again, but you don't have to turn off the console.

For the 360 press and hold the center XBOX symbol button untill it prompts you Shut off console, turn off controller, or cancel. Pick Shut off console. :) That or just press it once and press Y to go to the XBOX dashboard.

I think you press the xbox button and then return to the dashboard and launch GTAIV again.

This is what ive been doing, just going to the dashboard and or cutting it off and restarting the game. I was wondering if there was a way to just reload the game from within the game so i don't have to wait through the loading screens of the game and all. But this answered it:tup: i can't:ouch:

You can reload the game, if you press start and go to the right-most tab...I think.
 
Today I saw a bird standing on the ground behind the burger shot restaurant, there was red light coming out of it (like those from weapons dropped from enemies). I shot it, feathers flied everywhere, and the game said "There are 199 flying rats left in Liberty City" :dopey:

Kinda old news what the new hidden things are in IV but still I was suprised all the same the first time I shot one. 👍
 
ive had 6 failed attempts at downloading the update.. 99% then fails every single time.. bah

Yeah, those are the new hidden packages. There's another in the cemetery you meet Derrick in.
 
IGN has a very nicely done Interactive Google Map for GTAIV's Liberty City

If you click on the "+" for "NPC" you can then select "Pigeon" ad it will show you where they are on the map. Just zoom in to the location/area you are interested in to see more precisely where they are.

Besides the nice Google interface, the thing I like about ths map is unlike most other GTA4 maps, it isn't cluttered with map markers for everything... although you have that option as well.

It allows you to select what things you want it to show at any given time. Not only is this helpful for un-cluttering the map, but for those that wish to find some things on their own, but may not have the time or even the interest in finding other things can use the map without exposing the things you do want to find on your own. 👍

Any way, here are all the different things it can show on the map:

Algonquin, it just unlocked for me after a mission so I'm not to worried about it any more.
 
I tried to park 2 cars in one reserved spot out side one of my safe houses, I went up and saved and came back and both were still there but a car at another house was gone. I tried it again later and no cars disappeared. Seemed odd. Whatev.

Ya that's how you reload, but if you fail a mission cant you just wait like 5 seconds to get the text message to start the mission over?

You can wait and re-start the mission but if you do that you don't have armor or all of the ammo you had before. Like on the three clover mission you really need some ammo and armor, if i just re-try it i won't have all that, but if i reload it i will (if i save right after getting all the ammo and whatever else i need). Thats the annoying part about just waiting for the re-try message on your tele. So then you have to go and get all that stuff again and then go start the mission:ouch:
