He, it seems like everyone takes the bridge as a split time. Even though it isn't there.
Its because its a good landmark and one of the only times during the event that you get a wee breather.
Gonna give this a go again (attempt number: #99,801).

Edit: Closest attempts after seeing dark_ruffo's vid:
- 1:17.064 Buggered up the last corner. :(
- 1:17.067
- 1:16:809!! (after about 20 attempts - using DFGT and ABS on 1, nothing else)

Now for the Ford Focus WRC and Lambo ones. :s

Sounds doable with a DFP then.
Yeah, unfortunately there's no ghost or split time to compare yourself with...

When something like that happens to me, I just keep thinking about gear ****ing too late or too early, being really pedantic.
It drives you nuts!

I was rather anxious starting this event from what I'd read. At first I thought my fears were justified, I didn't even get bronze on my first try! In the end though, it only took me about 2 hours to get it.

My winning lap seemed a bit ropey but I scraped it with a 1:16.997 :) It was just after 2 1:17.07s though so I suppose what goes around comes around.

I must've made up some good time somewhere but I'm not sure where (I carried a lot of speed through the sweep after the bridge and my last corner was good).

Good luck to those still working on it. All I can suggest is to get the nose in early and let the back out a little on the hairpins, and make sure you're at the bridge by 34:00 or you're really going to struggle.

I completed this one just this week, after to many tries...

But finally got a 1.16.8xx.... TCS and ABS at 5... DS3 btw.
I tried to drive a real clean lap, but that didn't work for me..

Found this on Youtube, golded it the second try after watching...

Vid..

You might want to remap your controller so the tcs etc menu in race, because at the bottom of the menu you can change out the brake balance on the 8c, and it keeps that setting through restarts. It is especially helpful on the Lambo run, to up the front brake setting.

After a few more tries, I am now a tenth from making a gold. :D

If you haven't golded it yet, watch the video in my previous post, it shows you how you can win without sticking to the driving line! Gold Baby!

I'm gonna try that now.

*Bumpkick.

I haven't seen any new topics about this, so I assume everybody golded it by now?

Ah yes, the first customer!

Click the link in my signature,

TCS and ABS on 5, with a DS3, and give it a go!

Last 4 Hour I am assault this stage (1:16"858)

I found the important thing in this stage

These C8 LSD is quite SOLID !
When you feel the car is Under steering, OFF Throttle immediately!

When You Exit tunnel and Found your Timer just 56 sec, You still have chance to pursuit 1:16

The only advice I can give to the people still needing to gold this is to try to aim for a very late apex on the first two hairpins. Don't just concentrate on the corner that you're coming up to, you need to be looking at the corner after that to ensure that you're set up well for it. Just keep it smooth, maybe even short-shift to reduce wheelspin. Aim to be crossing the bridge at around the 34 second mark.

I managed to go from a 1:17.2xx down to a 1:16.8xx simply by leaving it alone for a week, then coming back and having another go. After three fresh attempts, I'd done it.

Yeah... no way in hell I'm getting gold on this one. I barely managed silver. There's no way I can shave another 1.5 seconds off the time. It's not impossible... just impossible for me, given the amount of time I would be required to put into it. It's not worth the frustration.

I'll have to relegate this race to the pile of "never going to complete", along with the Vettel Suzuka challenge, and the FR slalom license.

Been doing this for 5 hours straight...done about 500km just trying to get gold.
My best is 1:17:250.
I just can't cross the bridge under 35, no matter how well I drive.
It's really pushing me to the edge, I really feel like breaking the ****ing disc right now.
I've noticed that the best thing is just to leave it off and try it again sometime.
Also, again this shows how retarded PD are - who the **** are they using as testers? Aliens? Hybrids?

This is one of the best challengues of the game
Yes it is, only problem is you can count on one hand how many hard challenges it is in this game 👎

My tip for this challenge is focus being smooth and be patient in the right hander before tunnel so you get max exit speed:)

I gave up on being smooth, and then I golded it second try.

^^ Then we have very different driving styles. I am always faster when im smooth.
I got a 1.16.2 but I have seen a 1.15.4 on youtube

Me too. A small power drift in the second corner and in the long corner before the tunnel and i got a 1.16,853, with the DS3 btw. :)

The trick is here you have to be fast & smooth at the same time. If the car breakes out, you are loosing too much time. If you are too careful, you don't get it.
Off throttle, smooth throttle and the perfect braking points are the way to gold.

I did it with the following settings:

Active Steering: Low
ABS: 1
Steering Sensitivity: 7
everything else: Off

The aids blocking you here from gold, so turn them off & get used to it. Took me a whole day to get it right. :scared:

Finally golded this challenge.

Used:
Automatic Transmission
TCS: 0
ASM: Off
ABS: 1
Brakes: 10/10
Controller sensitivity: 7
Active Steering: Off
Sixaxis
Time: 1:16:944

Some tips for people who are still trying:
Cross the 1st checkpoint at 35:100 max, enter the tunnel at under 50:100, go through the 2nd checkpoint at 56:200 and you'll be able to gold.
None of the videos helped but my mate (volkov93) told me 1 crucial tip: slide in the corner after the bridge/before the tunnel and go as wide as you can, start braking once you come close to that gravel part on the side of the road and that will save you about 0.500 s.
I hope this helps, good luck to anyone who's still trying - you'll need it.
