Thats right you can download the demo, which has single player. Aswell as co-op play in the demo, you can download it from FilePlanet.

I played the 360 version, and well it looks lush on the 360. I have not tried out the PC version, but the screens for the PC version look nice aswell.

Well i played the demo a bit, but i did not like it. It seems like they made the game too much like BF2.

Graphics wise, im not really sure. Either i cant get AA running properly, or this game has poor AA.

yeah... its an okay deni. i was expecting better. :p its sorta slowpaced and leaning towards realism like swat 4. except the ai dont seem to get themselves killed as easily as swat 4.
I cant run the game maxed out on my x800gto :(

Or maybe your PC cannot handle its AA. But its one of those games, where you need a better more powerful card then the X800gto.

Really? I have both BF2 and GRAW on the 360, and they are pretty different to each other in many ways. I'm sure the PC version isn't that different.

The game is hopeless on my PC, turning everything down, to the minimum had it running just smooth enough to bare, until I got into the first fire fight, then it went into a jerky mes, with everything on minimum. I have a 128MB graphics card 1gig RAM and a 2.4ghz processor in my machine. The game has promise, I especially like the idea of a 4 player co-op campaign mode, I do hope it's just a poorly optomised demo like the first Race driver 3 demo was, and that they will improve this. I could understand not having the latest game in full detail, but I made it look worse than Delta Force Black Hawk Down, and it was still jerking along horribly. And my PC is a decent PC, I can run Race DRiver 3 max everythig, I can run GTR with 50+ car grids, max everything.

Just finished the demo mission and it's all good. Controlling your team mates is tough, the map interface is plain annoying and the guys love going commando and chasing enemies around the town. Still the combat situations are cool and the finale to the demo level is cool - word of warning, "stand back" :p Boom.

Might well be buying this.

I'm going crazy ATM. My PC's HDD needs to be formatted(windows problems) and I can't seem to install the demo. I keep getting corrupeted files(get alot of then in other things too. :mad:)

Hope I can get it though. I've loved the GR series and really want to see if my rig can handle it. It should be able too, but we'll have to see.

I,m not going to attempt to play the demo, until i get these random restarts fixed guys.

I am actually running everything on high. I found out what the problem is. Drum roll..........................................

I read online that GRAW for PC does not support any AA.

Yea, I read that too, but I still tried to run AA. It crashed on me, so I decided to change it and it runs pretty good. It's a big adjustment from BF2, but it's fun. A good challenge is nice. :)

Worth downloading, it's a great demo 👍

I also read that you can't run AA at all, which really sucks as the game is mega jagged :grumpy:

I've been trying out the kits, and the best weapons are the 2nd main weapon (looks like a sniper rifle but is actually assault [with silencer and nade launcher]) and the G18c sidearm. The G18 is a hoot to use, the best pistol in a first person shooter i've ever used :) (and it's automatic :D).

Try sprinting and then pressing CTRL or C, you'll slide to a stop with either your head first (CTRL) or your feet (C) 👍 Looks great when the AI does it.

No AA? How strange. Seems like a pretty bizarre omission, i wonder if they'll give a reason for it?

You can set it via hardware/driver settings if your card supports it.

Odd really. The 360 version has it, you can tell. There are hardly any zig zags at all compared to some games. I don't see any reason as to why the PC version doesn't have it...

Are you sure that works with GRAW? I've tried everything but it keeps ignoring AA :(

I'll try to post a AA enabled vs a AA disabled screen shot tonight.

I can't believe this game:

The first image is no FSAA, and the second is 14xFSAA Enabled. I can't see a difference.

In doing some reading, the engine uses a method for it's lighting that will NOT allow FSAA at all. There will be no patches, no updates...it simply won't work. So crank that resolution to 2048 and up to get rid of that jaggies...

You'd be able to Pako with your crazy PC :lol:

That's what i get happening. The game just ignores your forced AA. I've heard it's related to the lighting effects they use (deferred lighting; similar to HDR) and that most cards won't run deferred lighting and AA together.

One of the developers posted a comment on a forum along the lines of "I don't want this thread to become a Q&A, but as so many of you have *****ed about this i have to address it. AA isn't supported, get over it."

How can you get over a lack of AA, the game just looks fugly with all those pixels (@ 1280x1024 they're as big as your head). No matter how fun the demo was to play, the aliasing was destroying. The deferred lighting looks rubbish too in comparison to HDR/Bloom effects.

If they release a patch (after hearing so many complaints they'd be stupid not to) that fixes this issue, i might consider bying the game, but their decision to leave AA out kills it for me. I never thought that smooth edges could make such a difference, but they really do.

@GTRacer4,
Trust me, I would if my monitor would go above 1600x1200. Even at 1600x1200 the verticals on the buildings, the power line between the buildings..., any straight line for that matter looks like a stairway to heaven. ;)

@donbenni,
From the sounds of it, they would have to revamp the entire graphics engine for FSAA to work. It just blows me away that they would implement a quasi-HDR technology and that would inhibit any chance for FSAA when the game is as jagged as it is, especially with LCD's hitting the market strong with most resolutions limited to 1280x1024 or less. I just hope the game play outweighs the lack of smooth graphics... :grumpy:

Will the final version be like that too?? The stairway to heaven? Or is this on the demo? That looks terrible!
