Went through the carlist and there are some surprises. Not a lot that pleases me though! I'll spend my time for 90% within the touring discipline.

My top 5:

1. Peugeot 408 SCB

2. Ford Focus ST Touring Car
3. MINI Miglia
4. Plymouth AAR Cuda
5. Holden VF Commodore

Euh..haha..well a few surprises but not a lot that pleases me personally. Ariel Atom V8, Caparo and Mclaren P1 are one of the surprises. I think cool cars but they are not something I want to drive. Does that sound strange...probably does...:odd: I like the Lola in openwheel and also the classic muscle Cuda I like a lot. I am just not a Japanese and Hypercar kind of guy. The French and the German cars don't mix that well together as well . Small Italians have a +1 too!

Of course it all comes down to personal taste. Will definitely try all the disciplines and maybe a car can catch me by surprise.

Most important for me is that there is one car that I absolutely adore. That with being able to create a custom livery is heavenly

Will there be any statistic in which categories players will play the most?

Has the Caparo ever been in a game?

Better be more reliable in-game than it is in real life lol... or is that factored in? :sly:

I think it was in one of the PGR games

edit..

Have to agree with Toko below: a lot of variation in the carlist 👍

To answer your question...yes:

Now how this vehicle will drive here...well, I'm still waiting until release date so I can destroy all five disciplines.

EDIT: I guess I should mention, I have alien-level skills at GRID 2, and I just can not wait to play this, Driveclub, Project Cars, and The Crew!

...

...

A1GP, nice.

You think there will be a push to pass button?

This is mainly aimed at anim8r_uk

Earlier in this thread (maybe the other thread) you stated PC is the lead platform for Grid Autosport. Can you give any indication on whether this will remain the case for future/other current projects? Basically when it comes to releasing your first PS4/XB1 game will PC still be the lead platform?

I can't give any specifics I'm afraid.... purely because I don't know :( That sounds like a good question for our Community team though. Ask on the forums or facebook and I'm sure you'll get an answer. I'll try and find out aswell :D

The list of cars looks impressive. It's too bad the list didn't contain any of the FIA GT motorsport racing cars like the Aston Martin DBR9/DBRS9/Vantage GT3, Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT/R-SV, Ferrari 550 GT/575 GT, etc.
True. :( But hey, there's always DLC if possible. :)

Just so you know for future reference, if you put the "@" symbol in front of someone's name, it "tags" them and shows up in their alerts, telling them you mentioned their name in a post.

Like this: @speedkinduci ....which should show up in your alerts.

I can already tell the Open Wheel and GT Category are gonna be the most popular (Well and the Super Tourers for obvious reasons). I do have to question two classes though:

Supercar
Pagani Huayra
SRT Viper GTS
Mazda Furai
McLaren 12C
Aston Martin One-77

Hypercar
McLaren P1™
Pagani Zonda Revolución
Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport
Koenigsegg Agera R

Now I'm not telling anyone how to do their job, but aren't those particular cars abit overpowered to be in their respective classes? Both are essentially track focused cars while the others they compete against are still road cars. I know this game is meant to be fun, but I can't imagine it'll be much fun online if it quickly becomes one car in a category featuring many.

If Grid 2 is anything to go by, the Furai & Zonda will have loads more grip, but they will nerf the top speed and acceleration. So the best cars to use will be track dependent 👍

Really impressed by the car list. I saw an NSX Cup on the car list - this car better handle better than it did in G2 or it will be the most rage inducing event ever :scared: The track list is okay. Couple of new real tracks, but the city courses are all recycled from G1/2. Not that it matters since I don't like them that much, so less new tracks to learn lol.

GAS is really looking to be THE G1 sequel we were all waiting for in terms of content. Fingers crossed the physics delivers and there are no game-breaking bugs on release.

@ anim8r_uk: Do you have any idea what will happen to G2 servers? G1 servers got taken down before G2 release but it hasn't been that long since G2 release so...

I'm just going to stop you there with 4 epic letters: BTCC.

The British equivalent of what I already do...

Watched all the videos I could find - put my pre-order in for this game. Realized after that I leave for a two week trip on the release date - doh

BTCC - original and best of all.
ITC ('90s DTM-esque Italian touring cars) were better IMO. Nothing like cars spitting flames while on two wheels or none at the Nürburgring...

BTCC is okay, though. A close second... ;)

It shared cars with DTM... but you get the idea.

@anim8r_uk 👍👍 on the car list, plenty of variety at least for me. Question though, in a race lobby will we be able to specify and limit entrants to only one class of cars and/or one make, and/or multiple class?

Holy fudge balls with a dislocated jaw on top. (Holy 🤬 this looks jaw dropping) But I must ask the question, how did you get the v8 utes, and the FG COTF?

Went through the carlist again and I have come a bit to senses. The variety is really great and there is a lot to like and race. Maybe I've just become a bit to narrow-minded with cars after all those years  I can't expect that every racegame will add 10 Peugeots of my choice.

Are you guys in here going directly in the online mode to create custom livery or do you take it easy and go into the carreer first?

Are clubs going to be created or will you run your team as a privateer?

The car list looks really nice. Maybe a bit too many one make cups, but that's really all I can say. For the rest it's a great variety of cars, and many that I haven't seen in a racing game yet.
Good selection! 👍

You could have easily edited your post instead of double posting.

@anim8r_uk That's interesting what you say. Age ratings and making a car catch fire is connected some way?

That it is more difficult when licensing a car I understand but age rating? I never knew it would/could be so hard to implement those things due to all "rules" that need to be applied.

The never ending hunger for the humans to try to regulate and control everthing :banghead:

So it means for you as well that it can be quiet frustrating sometimes because you are limited within your creative freedom due to all the rules?
