The track list, car list, etc., has all been released.
If I remember correctly, they still haven't revealed the full car list. All we know so far is the full touring and endurance car list and some bits of the other disciplines based on preview videos but it's still incomplete.

I mean, there are only so many possibilities. They definitely don't add up to the 1000+ of the other series. 100 would be a nice mile stone for CM. Plucky Brits. ;)

The track list, car list, etc., has all been released. I'll give it points for a decent quality mix of very few cars, but... Not much for variety.

Gran Turismo, though, has a thousand cars. More than enough to never get bored...
Yup, thousands of cars.

In PS3 quality. :p

I can't wait to see what the open-wheel car list includes! If I remember right, so far we've seen the Indycar, F3, and Ariel Atom V8 (on the Codies forum). I guess will see the F-1000 from GRID 1 and the BAC Mono from GRID 2.

The Formula 3 (or Formula C) is the slowest open-wheeled car.

The Mono and Atom will probably come under the street car category. 👍

I hope we see the F-1000's. They were the best!

It's really sad that some folks perfer quantity over quality... Sorry but, quality >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> quantity everytime and anyday.
It's like the difference between going to a buffet and fine dining. At this point I'd much rather have really good food, than just lots of food but I know that some people just want lots of food. Not saying this game or any other is good or bad, just saying that car count is way down my list of priorities at this point when choosing a game. I'm more concerned about gameplay, physics, fun factor, online etc. A good game with 50 cars is far more attractive to me, than a lousy game with 10,000 cars.

1000 cars yeah....about what... 50 or 60 variations for just about every manufacturer?.. Cars that sound like leaf blowers....? Err, no thanks!

Don't judge a book by it's cover friend. Let the game get released first, then make comparisons or level any criticisms if need be.

If GT deleted all the duplicates in their game the car list would be chopped in half i bet and if they chopped out all the POS ps2 cars it would be like 200 then. Grids car list though looks really promising. Hope they decide to do some classic btcc car pack or something down the line, we have only been asking for it for forever and that would be a guaranteed sell.

lol leaf blowers, like it 👍

Bad sound and environment makes GT lifeless

only got it as it was on sale and was still disappointed.

I had fun with GT6 for 3 weeks, maybe a bit more. It just misses everything that makes racing exciting. This morning I had a run in F1 2012 and the experience you get in there already is just magnificent. Yes the handling is not 100% sim and yes there is room for improvement but it just keeps putting a smile on my face. Rev that engine, how it sounds, how it feels to drive (DS3) and to battle the AI! It hits the racing experience buttons! All that with 1 car and 22 different liveries :odd: I have high hopes for GAS and since touringcars are my absolute favorites I just can't wait to race in there. It will propably be a game that will last in my PS3 a very long time until some proper tourers are released on PS4 :D Well it has to switch places with Rocksmith sometimes ;)

The cockpits in GAS (the one without the wheel) reminds me a lot of TOCA Race Driver 2. It was my favorite view to play the game.

Any openwheeler info today ? :dopey:

TOCA 2.... such a great game!

...but...but...you have to go back one generation further for the best TOCA's :D

you worked on DTM2 @anim8r_uk ?

Oh yes! PS One days were ace!

Nah, I started here on Operation Flashpoint: Red River and Dirt 3. Been a fan of Codemasters since MicroMachines... so really, I'm the lucky fanboy who got a job here...... and don't they all know it.... lolololol

Yeah

That's not the only reference it's gotten. You might come across: nose trimmers, blenders, remote control planes/choppers, vacuum cleaners, lawn mowers, dish washers, sound of power windows rolling up/down.. yeap it goes on and on. :boggled:

Will there be any changes to the livery editor in Grid: AS, or will it remain similar to the previous games with using pre-set templates?
