The AI difficulty is also being tweaked, so it'll be harder than the Team VVV video too:)

The last time I played, I did a 6 lap race in the Peugeot 408 SCB against a full grid on Very Hard, No TC and no ABS and Manual gears..... I couldn't qualify higher that 6th and ended up 4th in the race..... And I'm one of the top 3 fastest racers in all of Codies :)

AI should provide a good challenge for all us Aliens :D

Very Hard is the hardest mode that I'm aware of.... I'll ask the design team for confirmation.
I like the sound of that. Good to see Codemasters making game more back to the TOCA roots. TOCA RD3 Tier 32 Mondello pole position is super hard to manage, hopefully this game will have events just as difficult but not rubberband AI way. I will get this on PS3 I think and maybe later on PC. Shame only reviewers can try out game on PC, would have been interesting to see how I would do with 5 laps using my own steering wheel but I guess I have to wait.

 I deserve that, but it does seem a fun challenge. I love touring cars. Come on, release date! :D

Yeh should be great fun, with times from real race drivers to aim for, this will be a great challenge.

Maybe we should get are own GTP leaderboard going, to see what can be done with more than just 5 laps 👍

V8's anyone :D

Is it just me or do I see 2 versions of the Ford Falcon? I see a Ford Logo on the Liquid Moly and K&N car. Backlights are different though!

Sorry dude... you're seeing things.... Just one model for the Falcon

Just to confirm, I can 'complete' the game without having to do a drifting event, right?

trying to get an answer for ya :D

EDIT: here's your answer....

To complete the game you must earn xp in all 5 disciplines to unlock the GRID Autosport Legend Series, however when you are competing in the Tuning discipline and you entering into a Drift event you can simply ‘retire’ from that event. You just won’t earn xp from that event and it will probably take you longer to reach the required level to unlock the GRID Autosport Legends Series.

I hope I have explained that correctly :D

Ok, thanks. As long as I can bypass them I'm happy. I hate games that literally force you to complete drifting events to move forward.

I urge you to try it though.... I really REALLY hate drift in racing games.... doesn't matter what game it is..... but I have to say, I really do like it in Autosport....... plus, you get to see all my tyre smoke :D

Nothing against you or your smoke which I'm sure is excellent, I just cannot stand drifting. I'm a racer, I want to race. :)

Drifting is a bit Marmite.... but try it.... you never know.... you might like it the way I do. I'm a racer too :P

If you try it and don't like it, I promise not to hunt you down....... LOLOLOLOL :P

I've tried it in many games, including those that force it upon me, and I'll never get it, no matter how well it's done.

I like all types of events so more different types of events, the better it is for me 👍. I guess drifting in Grid Autosport will be same driving style as normal racing in Grid 2 .

You won't sway me, no matter how many welding squirrels you throw in to sweeten the deal!

If they threw in Bovril, would that convince you?

@anim8r uk: If you don't mind, allow me to answer that for you: No. That's about as likely as playing a game on the Xbox 360 with the original Xbox controller.
Do you even own a DS4? If you did you would know that some ps3 games support It if used with usb. Dirt 2 supports it but the triggers are on off no inbetween. So yeah do your research first

How about customization options for the rides in GAS? I think i heard livery editor is in, but what's the deal with spoilers and rims? Is this traditionally well catered for in GRID games?

GRID 1 had a fairly basic livery editor, but it did the job. There were no options for body modifications or wheels though. I don't know about GRID 2, never played it.
