Ps. Can you guys confirm if it's possible to play GAS and avoid the corrupt file by not playing with the online cars? Really worried about risking it but bloody codies take a hundred years...

I got hit by the save file corruption without ever having played online.

Although you should be able to play custom cups by starting a new game without saving it.

The patch not being available on consoles yet is not particularly surprising. Looking at CM's patch track record for the F1 games, console patches could come a month or more later than PC patches. And sometimes they wait for several PC patches to come out before consolidating them into a single console patch. Supposedly it costs a lot to submit a patch to Sony and MS, then Sony and MS people have to test them, so console patches take longer.

Seems it arrived this evening? Not confirmed yet though.

i'm pretty darn happy with the game as it stands. had more fun on a single 3 lap racenet challenge in the TOMEI CUSCO SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI than i've had in the whole of gt6. so if the patch improves things and adds extra modes, then cm can take aslong as they want :)

Just avoid your own cars online and use the loaners for now, as that is what seems to trigger the gamesave corrupt bug.

@LeGeNd-1 - If you're still trying to unlock K&N, I think I've figured out how team offers work.

Firstly, you have to make sure you meet your team objectives. But you have to do it consistently, and you can't change disciplines (and maybe not even tiers), or else you'll lose offers. I was racing Cat-C Touring cars with Oakley, and met my objectives in the first two championships. I got an offer from Cusco for the third championship, but then went and did some Open-Wheel racing. When I came back, the offer was gone. But if you race with them and meet the objectives, you can race for them again later on.

This is how I unlocked K&N: first, I did the first two Endurance championships with Razer. I won both, then went back to the first championship. I had Razer, Oakley and Ravenwest on offer; I chose Ravenwest. I did that championship again, winning it (and making sure I met all of the objectives). When I went in a third time, I had offers from Razer, K&N and Ravenwest. I chose K&N to get the Journeyman achievement, and after meeting the team objectives again, I found offers from K&N, Forge and Ravenwest.

I can't guarantee that this will get you an offer from K&N, but the offers are clearly tied to your ability to consistently meet team objectives, possibly within a tier and most certainly within a discipline.

I just started playing Autosport, and it definitely reminds me of the old Codies' games like V8 Supercars 3(aka Toca 3) The competition is fierce and the events are challenging especially on hard difficulty. One thing that surprised me was the inclusion of Circuit Mont Tremblant...epic!

Well GAS is now completely unplayable for me. :( I'll have to shelf it until I can figure out what is the actual problem.

Several other games seem to play all right, but I do notice odd problems here and there at random times, and often when saving and loading. GT6 was perfect on-track but had some problems loading things in menus. I rebuilt the file system and database from the safe mode menu, and deleted then reinstalled the GRID game data. It ran without a single hiccup through the intro movie and a short practice and qualifying and about 2 laps of a race, then went back to not running for more than 20 seconds without hanging up. Can't drive like that. Tends to take ages to load the next session after finishing one too.

I'm hoping a reformat or new hard disk will fix it. Not sure why Grid is by far the worst affected, but I have a lot of games I haven't tested yet.

Sounds more like a problem with your console. So far no one had this constant freezing happening if i remember correctly, and if it happened on GT6 also that's a bit suspicious.

Cheers mate 👍 I've been reading the K&N thread over at Codies forums and this is the impression that I get (bolded part for emphasis). I always meet my team objectives, but I do switch disciplines quite a bit. Will give this a go when CM fixes the corrupted save fiasco.

Not trying to scare you, but it sounds like your PS3 is dying. My fat PS3 started freezing a lot at random times as well a few months before YLOD. I would start backing up everything to an external hard drive if I were you.

I switch for the sake of variety, mostly because the third championship in a lot of tiers is usually the first championship plus the second.

But I also like racing for some of the higher-level teams, Forge being my favourite.

I've only noticed this in Tuner events so far but what's up with the qualifying times/sectors on Very Hard difficulty? I can be .500 to a second faster in the very last sector (barely 500 metres before the finish line) than the AI in first position yet I magically end up being 8th as well ending up with a second behind them. That's almost a loss of 2 seconds that I cannot figure out - within an extremly short distance.

It's because your competitors are putting in laps at the same time as you are. When you pass the first couple of sectors, a fast guy might not have completed his lap yet. By the time you complete your lap, the fastest lap could already have changed.

Got it. Thanks! Really annoying nevertheless.

The funny thing about the way it works here is that if you put in your fastest lap on your second lap and beat your competitors, you can park your car at a corner and destroy their chances of beating you on the last lap.

 I'll try doing that next time!

I'm thinking about getting this game. How does a wheel feel on this game compared to GT6?

It depends on your settings. If you're playing on crappy settings, you're not gonna like it. If you set it up correctly, it feels pretty awesome. You can tell that you're handling a 700 HP racing machine by the way the wheel rumbles.

If you playing the game on the PC and want working dashes, all you need is an android phone and dashmeter pro:
