Back to old Cockpit view since there is nothing but sun.

Also, don't know if anyone has noticed but I decided to add an extra layer by driving these locations to their exact Weather forecasts in real life at the time so if a Weather app says its nothing but Sunshine in Dubai this weekend, I therefore drive said track in Complete sunshine (JJ Abrams Lens flair and all).

Sooo, abit of an idea: This game features quite a few cars from One-Make series so I have the idea of making these races specifically mimic the real life counterpart abit (Exact lap distance, Standing starts, etc). So if one of these gets picked in future polls:

Expect a slight full blown effort to replicate said respective series.

I don't know if it's just me or not but I continued story mode yesterday and the difficulty doesn't seem to be constant on Legends level. Some races are nearly impossible while others were quite a breeze.

Its not just Story mode with this odd issue, I've been doing Custom races for my youtube channel and some tracks the AI is simply uncatchable (Suzuka) while others they are just way too easy to breeze past (Okutama GP)

Good to know that I'm not the problem (mostly) lol.

Worth noting that with this video, Mount Panorama will no longer show up in the polls as a choice now that all its configurations have been raced on (Only in themed videos depending on the cars and real world events). This will similarly happen with many others tracks, with two already down to their last three configurations. Also because I currently can't afford the DLC tracks OR cars, that'll pretty much be it for this series of videos once I've basically raced..well, everything since I don't see me doing the rest of the career mode races being anywhere near as interesting considering this series effectively is built on people's choice (Something that will always be interesting to the public).

Abit late due to two blackouts AND being very much engrossed in certain races but Polls are up:

After a long hiatus, I have returned to continue the Career. About to wrap up the Open-Wheel series, I just need to get some miles on the car to unlock the Tier 2 upgrades. Then, that will be the halfway point for the Rookie group.

Seems ai isn't really under much physics rules?
Just faking it, i dont know.
Game looks nice, has wide range of cars etc it seems. It's 90% off on pstore, but i dont know if worth it still.

£6 ?! Absolute bargain, as long as you din’t expect any kind of sim. Pure arcade and that’s fine.

At least it seems to run 60 fps on ps5 with high resolution, even replays.
I just would hope its satisfying, nuanced and challenging handling enough with no aids and a controller.
Edit: just read a review talking about this point, and it seems mindless even with no aids, plus arcade things like time extension, gonna pass..

Really depends on track and combo, but AI is abit inconsistent. At Suzuka regardless if its dry or wet, they seem impossibly uncatchable. At Okutama, they seem to barely put up a fight. So it appears very track and combo dependent.

Otherwise, not bad. Might not be super spectacular, but its ok (And if you like your classic Codemasters cheese for a story, this has quite a good bit of it).

Yeah thanks, it's a shame they dont give the option of a more satisfying challenging intuitive handling model it seems, even no aids on, from many reviews. You can't lose control, can bang on other cars, roadside with no risk, fudged handling it seems.

Because the game seems well done, lot of content, 130 tracks, city road tracks, you can set up your own tracks it seems, put obstacles etc, that's pretty cool.
Trucks, etc, but if the feel and racing isn't satisfying.

I tried the demo of the crew motorfest, how would you compare the handling with grid legends?
And the challenges?
Do different cars feel more different each than in crew motorfest?
They seem pretty similar in that.
Etc.

Are there endurance races in this game?
Are there multi class races?
Can a steering wheel be used?
Are there races that require pit stops?

  • Set ones in Career: no. Closest you can get is setting the amount of laps in custom race but that's it as there is no Day-to-Night Cycle.
  • There are Multi-Class races (Not many in career but there are). You can even set up your own with whatever classes you want in custom races (Think PCARS 2)
  • As a wheel user (Logitech G29), I can confirm wheels can be used. I do advise that if your on console to calibrate it as not doing so will make some cars at some tracks undrivable (Still have flashbacks of the Renault R25 barely turning at Sepang)
  • No pit stops of any kind (as has been the case with the Grid games)

Thank you for the quick and detailed reply.

I love PC2 so I understood your reference. It's gonna be a bummer to set up an endurance race with no it stops
