Unfortunately, I have to take a hiatus from racing for awhile. My back and knees cause me too much discomfort when I drive. As a result, I can no longer host Wednesday nights. I will try to drop in on occasion as my pain level allows but I cant do it physically. I have countless future appointments (back injections) scheduled and medication changes coming. Hopefully it'll give me some relief. 😬

Here is a replay of the B.A C. Mono in a time trial showing different POV. I used Tokyo here because it is restricted space, but I tested the car on a good variety of tracks, on Sport Soft tires, to find tuning issues. In the video, however, Racing Hards are used. The group may approve of them more.

If somebody wants to set up a group test on Wednesday, I can use the feedback from you to update it, then it could be used in future Geezer races.

As you can see in the replay, the Mono can be made safe and reliable on RH tires. Sport Soft tires are a bit more challenging, but they can be used, too, with care and good pedal techniques. It can stop on a dime.

As tuned, with proper footwork, standing starts are also safe, but you should practice them. Or you can roast the tires in 1st & 2nd gears, if you wish. The gears were worked hard, to keep control in various situations.

As tuned, it has a bit over 7 lbs / HP.

Gentlemen! After some discussion on Sunday morning we would like to have a Unimog race in the near future. The vehicle is based on the original setup done by Claude quite a while back. The parameters should be as follow:
Throw everything at it in terms of options for engine, weight reduction, etc.
The engine should be 227hp, the weight 2950 minimum, PP to be 460 Max with Sport Soft for tires.

There is not a planned race date for it but in the near future.
