Pretty easy with stock power. I put the suspension stiffer and adjusted the LSD to drift around Trial Mountain while winning in the fourth lap.

Why? Why do people do this? It's a game, there not real cars! What's the point in having them in ticket form? U can't even see them never mind drive them, maybe you would be bettrer stamp collecting!

LOL!!! I used to collect stamps as a kid.

Collecting virtual stuff is so much better...no clutter!

Is this seasonal event for the regular in-game Silvia, or only for the GT Academy Silvia?

^^ This story headline (and photo) indicate it is for the retular in-game Nissan Silvia. But the story CONTENT says:
"A series of special GT5 Seasonal Events kicked off last week, featuring the GT Academy 2012 prize cars. First up was the Nissan Leaf, and now, it’s the Nissan Silvia’s turn in the spotlight. Here’s a closer look at the new A-Spec race and time trial, available only to players who earned the Silvia Spec-R Aero(GT Academy) ’02 in the GT Academy 2012 mini-game"

This tells me it's only for the GT Academy Silvia. So there's conflicting information. Can anyone verify?

Only for the GT Academy version. I guess Jordon did not find an "acceptable" picture of a GT Academy version to use.

This is much better then my leaf because instead of the stupidi understeer,it have oversteer but almost too much because it's a slippery with full power but with 230 hp it got good grip and power

so if I buy all the part and install it for the time trail like if I put Weight reduction stage 3 the PP will go over 433 so what I do then? add more weight to my car?

I like to collect the green tickets as well so I did GT Academy on all three of my profiles just in case colored cars were given out like the old academy cars. Less trades to make then for the other colors.

Use the power limiter and uninstall some stuff

I agree with HaylRayzor. In stock form the Trial Mountain challenge took me five tries and was a blast. The second challenge took me eight tries to gold.

There's no need to modify the car. I love it the way it is.

So.. the GT Academy Silvia is actually no different from the ordinary base model, other than stickers and wheels?

the only differences is you cant put a spolier or rm it

Won Trial Mountain with a stock Silvia without oil change using a DS3 and automatic transmission.

I'm not sure why anyone would have to do any of the engine stages to win.
I did it easily with full race exhaust/ecu and filter kit.
I don't want to screw up an Academy car.
It would be nice if mods were listed for rankings.
I managed 40's on Trial Mtn.
Leaders are doing 32's.

The time trial circuit is really a properlly tricky circuit.
Im only at a 38 somthing after my 1st time through.

^That is a fast time. I only managed 1:42.xxx with an unmodified Silvia :(

Agreed, the race is a blast, even with a stock ride. The TT is tough though, bronze so far so I will be back at it again today :)

With a stock car a small tip,

I only go to second gear once,in the blind corner.
Try to stay in third for most corners, gains a lot of time.:)

Time Trial was harder than Trial Mountain, but you can brake very late going into the first corner, so that might get you a lot of time

For the time trial at Toscana, the 1st left up hill corner, I can brake very late, right after the dip on the right side of the road, bear in mind tho, I don't use ABS but my BB was 10/7 to get more bite on the brake, any less BB, the brake wont be strong enough to make into the turn at the top of the hill. Of course with ABS, it's a different matter, but give it a try, increase the BB numbers and see how late the car can brake.

How many people did the Silvia events 100% stock, no upgrades, no tuning?

I did it stock, without any upgrades/tuning (not even brake balance) using DS3 and automatic transmission. Only assist used was ABS at 1.

Also did them in stock cars.

Seems like the point.

Me too, completely stock. Makes it more fun.

Are these Seasonal GT Academy events, repeatable or one payout only?

One time payout seasonal events using GTA prize cars, open only for 1 week.

Yep, that's the way I've done them too. Change BB to 6/4 and that's it. Clean laps in the races.

For the TT, I got gold after several laps. Then tried a tune just for kicks. Don't know if it helped or just got more familiar with the track.

BTW, I WANT this track! So much fun in a light RWD. Like to try in in the new Toyota 86.

He he. Glad to see. I did it stock too, 100%, DS3 as well (can't afford a wheel right now), with manual transmission (I can't do automatic, too weird for me). I only had trouble in the first event, but I got him at the last corner on my 8th try. Always clean laps for me. If I hit a wall, or slam hard into the opposition (small taps are fine), then I restart.

The time trial was pretty easy, though I really didn't try to get a high ranking in it. I got bronze on my first lap getting a feel for the car and learning a new track, but got gold the second lap.

It's a lot more fun to do it stock then to supe them up and the blow the competition away.

Can't you do the Trial Mountain event more than once for pay?
