Many players are complaining about the lack of customization available in GT Auto. So, I'm going to try and get a list going og what you, as a consumer, would like to have additionally in GT Auto. No matter how obnoxious it is, I'm going to add it to the list. I'l have a poll running (not a forum one, because the list will be longer the the poll allows for). TO vote, simply type the number the the option is listed as, and then type the number of votes you would like. Votes are limited to 20 per option. So each option you may vote 20 times for.

Anyway, go ahead, start listing the things you want for GT Auto. I want to see if someone on this forum that has Kaz on his/her Twitter account that speaks Japanese if they could direct link to this thread so that Kaz himself can see what one of the biggest GT community's would like in his game. Hopefully, if all goes well, we may be able to get some of these things in a future update.

BTW, I already know there is a feature on the forum for all things related to GT5, this is just pin pointed at GT Auto. All customization options here are aimed at Standard and Premium cars.

FORGET ABOUT STANDARDS!, they already said they would make some standards to premium.

They just put the standards to fill the 1000 car mark.

And for customization, I just rather have a generic roll cage on every car, a generic car interior and race sit with that s2000 type digital tachometer. A car body kit with front downforce. like the RE amemiya RX7 to have more RM cars.

I really hate the idea of standards. In my honest opinion, Polyphony should not waste their time on them. I can't be the only one who is depressed just looking at them and driving them.
As for more customization, doubt it will happen for GT5.

Yes iI too doubt anymore customization coming in GT5, but hey, theres always that slight possiblity. You never know.

As for standards, it's something I could personally car less about, but I know a lot of people would like that so I added it in anyways.

Love the amount of details that are present. You really thought this out slash. ^^

2. Ability to buy extra supply of fuel.

3. Ability to buy extra tires.

27. Ability to install turn signals

Why.

Before they don't add all of that other stuff, I'd prefer they work on the loading time for a few ps2 character models and a white background

Letting Kaz hear you is exactly what the Feedback section is for 👍. Try inserting your idea there, unless it already is, which it probably is.

http://feedback.gtplanet.net/forums/96709-gt5-feedback

As said in the OP, this is focused on one section of the game, featuring customization and what the community here would like to see in a GT game at some point be it GT5 or not. It's only focused on one section rather than the whole game and it lists out specific options. Unless you just want me to go and start posts 50 different things in the feedback section.

Just for an added effect. Is it required? Absolutley not. Is it worth mentioning? I think so.

Oh dear...

In regards to this, sure GT is not a game that is in anyway alike to other series all about customization such as the NFS series. I get that. But you have to admit, seeing an McLaren F1 on Nurburgring at night with side skirt lights on would be pretty cool.

Thanks. Feel free to add anything you'd like.

You wouldn't, you would just post Customization. But I'll leave you guys to discuss 👍.

some of these would be good for GT6, as for GT5 I think it would be limited to reskinning of already present models only. Oh and for the buy fuel bit only if its sunoco racing fuel and its expensive and gives hp increase and not re-usable!!

And that could be the case. I'm not saying we have to absolutley OMG have these now. We can wait if need be.

I'm going to see if I can think of some more later. There's bound to be more I forgot.

I'd be happy if they gave all premiums the same rear view. Some Premiums, when you look back, it is like the bumper cam view.............how wack and lazy/overlooked?

Why pay for anything? It should be free. At least make repaying damage optional. Credits are overused as it is.

That said, aero should be much bigger. Every car should be able to get front, rear, and underside downforce. And it should come in levels, from basic (like 5 front 8 rear max) to full racing (50 front 70 rear). Low speed and high speed aerodynamic parts would be nice as well.

That's more of an overall GT5 problem rather than just customization of a car. But I totally understand where your coming from on that one.

The answer? Realism. Don't kill me, but here's why. They want to make the ulimate driving simulater am I right? They can only achieve this total realism buy implementing such things. I'm not a total realism freak and I think things should remain free. The OP is speaking on behalf of what the community wants, not just me.

Thats just in the racecars, because if you look back you're just going to see the engine or whatever is in the back blocks the rear window or there is no rear window. That's why they made it like that, otherwise you would be complaining that when you look back in the car all you see is the engine and can't see anything on the actual road, thanks to the lack of window and to look behind you, you have to either change views or look in your tiny mirrors..

And if you've noticed, MR cars with a rear window, you still can't see anything. That's why you need to change the camera all together which can get annoying.

Ah, ok, that makes sense. Disregard my complaint, ignorance was there.

The answer? Realism

Realism doesn't really have much to do with it. It's a driving simulator. Credits don't need to be around in the first place, and in the simulator genre usually aren't around.

I really think there needs to be a mode for driving and one for buying.

You do make a good point.

That would kind of defeat the purpose of GT Mode wouldn't it?

I just want to be able to customize the look of a car to make it my own and not blend in with every other standard car out there. Rims and body kits would be enough for me.

That is why I started this thread. So everyone can have there own. With that, I'm almost positive someone will have the same car as you.

im going to make a few suggestions which not only would i like and i think others would like but surely wouldnt be that hard to add in an update, they are

1, a friggin paint pallet, for the love of god please some common sense on this issue dammit,

2, let us paint stock wheels too,

3, let us paint all premium cars whilst retaining original livery for example the blitz skyline or even F1 although there could be a licencing issue on that but rally cars and race cars would be great,

4, let is paint individual car parts, example, paint cars in 2 tone, or simply just let us paint the spoilers from auto shop the colour of our choice,

5, i use cockpit view but online mainly at the start of a race when its crowded i use bonnet view, now give us bonnet views not stupid roof views or higher up road view

6, auto bracketing in photomode would be great for people who like to do hdr,

now i think those would add a lot to the game and satisfy many of us whilst being a simple job for pd, what do you guys think?

This is a thread for car customization, not what would make the game better as a whole.

But yes the first few have already been said. The spoiler thing is one I didn't think of. Thanks!

i want a vynal and sponsor editor. i think the best example for a good design editor is NFS Shift 2 it has the best car editor ever in my opinion

If you think that's the best then you haven't seen Forza's livery editor. :sly:

I personally would like there to be several different race modifications for certain cars.
For example: The Subaru Impreza has competed in the JGTC and the WRC, so it would be nice to have the choice between a JGTC-inspired race mod and a WRC-inspired race mod.

I do realise this would be extra work for PD but it could be gradually released as DLC for GT5 or GT6 over the course of several years.
