GT shouldn't copy FM, but why does it need to lack so many features that other race sims have had for years? It's obvious that the "damage" was modeled into every individual car, do we need this? It doesn't even look realistic, no crumple zones, no deformation, just loose panels, and missing doors, lame. Build generic deformation into the game engine that works for all cars, with crumple effects similar to SHIFT 2, then build each car model in stages, start off with the body without bumpers, bonnets, doors, wheels etc, then leave it to the game engine to decide, based on the impact what panels to remove. Then there you have it, real time, realistic damage. I myself would love to see crashes that take you out of the action.
And why no livery editor? Heck even just throw in an image editor, and give us skin templates to draw our own. That'd be amazing, it'd put FM, and SHIFT 2 to shame, and PD wouldn't have to code an entire in depth interface, and the amount of detail you can make is great. I've made skins for LFS, and a livery editor from SHIFT 2, is not any faster, or more detailed, infact, I spend more time screwing with crappy controls, and switching layers, then I do actually placing vinyls. Heck even remove the in game image editor, we can do it on the PC, just give us the ability to import skins, DONE!
About more kits, maybe 1 or two more than now, but it's not really needed IMO, a simple lip kit is all you need to start, then maybe adding true aerodynamic kits with front splitters, rear diffusers, canards would be a good higher level modification. But other than that more race mods, and if you don't want livery editors cause you don't want retards to make nazi, or penis cars, give us 5 or so different RM livery's, but please just make all cars RM-able, I so want a WRC Mini Cooper, and a JGTC or Time Attack FC RX-7.
