Half the grid is AMG GT3s. I didn’t realize they were so popular in Australia.
It is becoming tedious and boring to see one make dominating the class.

Kind of the same with BMW and the Bathurst 6hr
🤭

Be a shame if they were BoP'd into a supporting role, and the other makes got the spotlight for a change.

I saw all B12h since the GT3 came in. What I remember is mostly the rare ones like the GT-R win, the 488 on gold wheels, Giz in the McLaren and not BMW, Audi and Merc (apart from that beep Maro Engel ruining the german reputation live)

Initial D livery. Hell yes.

For the outside of Australia folks, GT World posted the live streams for this weekend's Bathurst 12Hr.

Hmm, should have come up with an original design instead of a remake.
Well, it'll be talked about during the weekend.

Love it...

...except for those grotesque G80 kidneys.
Tbf imo the ginormous kidneys aren‘t quite as bad on the M4 GT3 compared to the road car since the car’s big aero parts make them a bit less dominant visually. But they’re still a really bad look and I have no idea wtf BMW‘s current designers are smoking.

I agree, but it's not just the Designers that need to be questioned.
The Board members all the way to the top have to give the final design the tick of approval.
Maybe they're all rolling racehorses and passing around the glass barbecue?

Cam Waters sets fastest in the AMG. Broc down in 11th. Mustang and Corvette have lots to go.
AMG would have Yottabytes of setup data to call on in comparison to what CHEV & FORD know about the place, GT3 wise.

The new cars would want to be finding tenths in comparison to AMG hundredths, or they doing it wrong.

Yeah, tbh I think car guys like us are unfortunately a minority compared to the average customer. Sales data shows these people care about tech and connectivity rather than design and driving dynamics. We might not like it but these modern types of cars sell so BMW likely won't change anytime soon.
