Saturday Geezer Only Races.

Room open 08.30 US ET, (I may get the room open earlier if possible) racing starts as close to 09.00 as possible. No tuning, BoP on, fuel and tyre wear on. Boost will be on weak and tyres will be RH. Ghosting on weak.

Ok, for car we will use GR2. Change car every race. There are 3 (I think) new GR2's to choose from, if you buy them. Cost 800.000 each.

Not sure of first track, will work that out in the morning. 5th placed finisher picks next track.
 
@Slow Joe I didn't see a reply about your having a headset. At least half the fun of Geezer racing is the "banter" in the party (chat) room.
Geezer racing is competitive but more value is placed on fairness and respecting each other. It looks like you're new to GT Sport, do you have many cars or credits?

Mine so far is ok. I'm having a issue with shifting, some times does not shift some times skips a gear.

Early Bird Race Geezer’s and Friends. Lobby opens at 7:30 Eastern. Car: Lexus PETRONAS Tom’s SC 430 ‘08. Paint them up and spend $800,000.00!! No tune-BOP on- Tires by vote. Boost weak. Track: Circuit de Barcelona. After that, 4th place picks track, 5 th place car. Blue moon for the nightcap. Minimal practice between races, says me.

'er ya go,, luv that SC 430 Lexus! It drives like a dream but as of it's first day in GTS I'm not as quick with it as the Honda Rayberg, the new Honda Epsom,, now THAT pup is a BEAST!! Welcome SlowJoe,, we're happy to have you join our Geezer Club. We'll look for you tomorrow and get the friend requests exchanged. As Waukazoo and Geezer1791 mentioned headsets and mics really make the club races a blast, the only problem i the chat rooms allow only 8 so we often times need to set up a second chat. It's a bummer but we make it work. Also, just incase you do not have a headset to hear, we sometimes have connectivity issues where in one or more may be stuck in autodrive or ?? In those cases we typically jump out of our cars (do not leave the race lobby tho!), the host will cancel that race and will do a restart. To do the restart everyone must exit that race, get out of our cars then hop back in. Once everyone is back in their car the host will restart the race,, we cross our fingers and hope everyone gets a good start.
 
I know this sounds incredibly stupid, but what do you mean by getting out of the car and getting back into it?

If for some reason someone doesn’t get going on the start, everyone quits the race( gets off the track) so that the host can cancel the race and then start over. Sorry for the confusion
 
@Slow Joe I meant to type in the lobby that microphones are included in the PlayStation box. Little baggie with a one sided ear bud and mic.

Hi Stumps, you can join us in our Sunday morn (9am East coast time) races partner. Find "SteveBeech12" (he has numerous posts in this message board) and send him a friend request - our rooms are always Friends Only. He's the host for Sunday and sometimes others if we're in a bind for someone to host. A headset andd mike is optimum if you have one but no problem is you do not. It will give you an opportunity to get to know some of us. "geezer1791" is the original creator of the Geezer Club, our headmaster and unless I'm mistaken he's our eldest at 78 (I think). Send him an FR as well to be included on our list of Geezlings - he also has many posts in this message board. Sunday is open to any age player but they all must be agreeable to our racing etiquette (sp) as best as is possible. Hope to see you when you can. [edit: forgot to mention our Sat, Sun, Wed races typically run about 3 1/2 to 4 hours, numerous 5 to 10 lap races, numerous tracks and lots of banter among us in chat - loads of fun!]
 
Geezers and Friends Sunday Races

Good morning chaps. Room will open at 08.00 US ET. Racing starts at 09.00 (14.00 UK time)

N200. Mini Cooper S. No tuning. Tyres to be confirmed. Usual room setup. (I know the car is a bit slower than my normal choice but could be fun around the smaller tracks. We shall see and if it is garbage we can always change)

Start at Seaside, 6th place picks next track.

You will become an official GEEZER 1/1/2019, until then you're a Geezling and are invited to race with us on Wed nite and Sun morning.

I must say NOTHING FEELS better than knocking Steve off the track . Sorry to the guys who happen to be involved. and to Luis its just to much fun knocking Steve ,I got carried away. so its his fault too. lol
 
I was a guest so no need to apologise to me. At one point, I thought the people in chat had fallen out and started automobile fisticuffs.:D

I'll be doing a lobby tomorrow night around 7.30GMT for a chilled practice session so if any of you fine gentlemen are at a loss for something to do, you'll be more than welcome to join in. Nothing specific planned for cars or tracks and I'm always open to suggestions. No boost and definitely no racing at Tsukuba.:lol:
