No idea. Fact is, the input lag is there. Might be the TV, might be the game, might be a combination of both. It's been an issue in pretty much all the videos I've watched and continues to be an issue. The source of it remains to be seen. I do know that if the actual input lag from the tv was 0.18" no one would notice or care. It's significantly more than that.
Depending on the model some Sony‘s have lag from 50 to 80 ms in HDR.

Would that be considered input lag or just wheel animation lag?

That's sort of what I was thinking, or at the least, there's a deadzone. It's hard to tell because of the camera angle, but when it looks like he stands on the brakes, the screen responds pretty quickly. Just skipped ahead to the interior view with hands/wheel and input lag looks pretty minimal.

Not sure why you keep responding with these anecdotes. There is some input lag. We don't know what the source of it is.

Yeah come on @ron86 - JP is right. End of story.

Getting a little bored of Nurb footage, especially with that bloody Audi again :) Different tracks would be nice, different conditions.

Hopefully Sunday brings something more interesting.

First GTE in GTSport. Though this is faster than a GT3?
But my god does it sound better

Some DLC infos
Google translate
Although the number of recordable units at the time of release is 150, most of them seem to be sports cars. Will general automobiles appear in future?
"I am planning to add it by update or download contents. The reason why sports cars, especially racing cars, was needed from the beginning was because we had to prepare all the categories of race cars for the FIA championship this time. At first glance it seems that the gravity is inclined to that, but not only sports cars, but also old cars, family cars everyone carries, or old classic cars, such cars are also important as "Gran Turismo" Because it exists, I want to add more and more."

I want this to be true. We need more road cars, it's always been the focus of GT!

Interestingly, look to the left and its the clearest we've seen the in-field road course. You can even see what looks like two routes into it from the oval (which would likely look abit like the transition from Homestead's oval into its road course). You also can see where it goes in the distance as well.

PIT work @ Suzuka
intermediate and wet tire reconfirmed

Great to see rain tyres in the latest build.

And that pitcrew animation.
The way they move, walk, run, it looks awesome.👍

Edit.
I couldn't stop replaying the pit stop and didn't actually bother watching much more.
But now that I have, I notice it's a timed event.
I'm guessing it's a Campaign event.
You can see the countdown timer in the lower right corner on his dash.
Some sort of fastest lap in 7 minutes (mandatory pitstop?) type thing.
Or maybe a Checkpoint event?

Yeh, me too.

It's got me stumped.
Campaign events?
Seems odd.

There is another car on track, but in the pits he's position 1 of 1, so I guess that's his ghost.
It looks like he deliberately drives into the pits, not accidently.
The pit lap time is 2:12, yet the first lap of 2:07 is shown red (suggesting that's the worst time)
The finish screen is all about his fastest lap, not the distance he covered.
And the guy himself seems rather pleased with his efforts.

So I've got no idea what that was.
All I know is that I want to give it a go....now. :sly:
