My Gt3 loads up but when the intro movie starts, Or before. Is freezes. FOr my other games its fine. But GT3 is the only one that does it. Help?

Did you make sure the playstation is clean?I know when mine started messing up from being dirty,GT3 was the first game to show it.

If their are any smudges/finger prints, then just whipe them off softly with your shirt. Thats usually the problem with my cd's. Make sure to look at the cd with light shining off of it to see it better.

Brandono offered the best solution to start off with. GT3 is a DVD and DVD's have about 20 times the "tracks" of CD's so they will clog easy.

I use a flashlight and tilt the disk at an angle to just see the surface and you will see all the build up of dust that you can't see looking straight at the disk.

If this dosen't work, try getting a laser cleaner disk but be carefull, some "bargin" disk cleaners can do more harm than good.

If this dosen't work, just do what I did, send it to Sony. They did mine for free but they do usually charge for a cleaning and system check. You can reach Sony at 1-800-345-SONY.

I hope I was helpful.:D

Ha, you're GT3 is screwed. You probably scratched it, just buy a new disk, it's not like they're $100 anymore...Or you could just get a disc doctor, or you could just try not to scratch the discs...if they aren't scratched, then it must be something with your PS2.

Yes, and they're even cheaper when you go to a place like Big W or something...

Just get a new GT3. They're only like 15 dollars as of late. But try cleaning it with that spray duster..upside down. Should make sure your PS2 doesn't overheat anymore. Just Kidding. :D

if your gt3 is scratched may I sugest a light sandpaper or failing that a nail file.

if it is your ps2 pull it apart and give it a good cleaning with soapy water.
this should fix it good :p

Speaking of pulling your PS2 apart. Increasing the laser intensity is a temporary fix to that "Disc Read Error problem" keep in mind TEMPORARY....You can increase the beam about 3 times before you actually jeapordize the film on your CD's..just letting the readers know.

*runs and puts his ps2 under the tap*

wow ving it really works :D

but why are blue sparks coming out of it :odd:

:p

You start at 400 grit, then go up in order:
400, 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000. At the end you'll have a nice mirror-like finish.

thanks ving. now my gt3 game looks like a gamecube disk. ill ask my matee to try it. also i was out of washing up liquid so i used bleach i hope thats ok.:)

:D

My GT3 disk has only had a problem once. After it showed "Sony Computer Entertainment America Presents", the game would not run anymore, and the screen just stayed black. I took the disk out, and cleaned with a wet hand towel. Then I cleaned the water off with my shirt, and the game worked fine. I had to restart the game a few times after I washed it, though. It works fine as of now, though.

Yes, you should snap the disc in half, if ving's method doesn't work, and then sticky tape it back together, it should be fine after that! :p

sometimes what works is if you take some ordinary toothpaste(w/baking soda) put a little on your finger and CAREFULLY buff it(in a swirling motion) dont wash it off bit wipe off any excess it worked for me on my virtual fighter 4 disc hope it does for u

Maybe model car cement would work great! :D

Toothpaste? Wow, that's a new one.

Bah, it probably stuffs up the PS2 beyond recognition...:p
