Thanks well i gotta tune my RGT now with LGx Performance

I'd just like to point out who won the first pre-season race ;) :p

With consistancy and no mistakes :p (Not on pure speed :sly:)

Should be easier to avoid damage here, as it's an open circuit with few barriers. Should potentially be a real close race!

Yes so less chance to crash means Welsh will win :p. Not that im going to make it easy for him ill try my damnedest to beat him :D.

Hey guys, I'm gonna say due to the confusion with the glitch, if you can't make it Sunday, post that info here, so the alternates know when a spot is open.

Reserves: when you enter the room please say who you are alternating for, or if you're just watching (which is okay, I believe this doesn't activate the glitch--someone correct me if I'm wrong).

your right only 12 max on track but you can have spectators aswell as it doesnt affect the room much :).

Guys do to a medical emergency I'm 50/50 chance I might not make it to the next race. I'll confirm later today.

Same ive been through losing a few family members due to illnesses and it is never nice.. Hope whoever it is who sick gets well soon :).

I'm going to be a 50/50 for this pre-season race, so if reserves want in for it, my space can be made available. I'll consider myself a reserve for this one, so if I can make it and there is room, I'll race, but if you're full, no problem. Have fun guys and see you all at Laguna if I can't make it :)

Will the 50% just turned 100% that I will not make this race. Anyone reserve can join in my place be great. Have fun guys

Hate to bring more bad news. But I wont be making tonight's race either. :( Def gonna make it for the first official race though.

Sorry to hear about that, guys.

So I guess homeslice and troylee are in if they want spots (post in the thread as soon as you can to let me know), and the kitten can join if either of them or Welsh can't show.

What time will we join up and start tonite?

practice around 8pm, qualy 8:45pm, race 9pm.

EDIT: also everyone be advised, we're probably going to stay on schedule because there are people who can't stay up late on Sundays.

Pre-Race Discussion Nurburgring GP/D (preseason)

A fairly straightforward track with very few places to cut without hitting the litter. As always, stay clean and mind the pit entry, exits. Blocking faster cars by crossing the pit exit line will assess a penalty. One spot to be mindful of is Veedol, where two wheels should be on the red and white striping or asphalt at all times. Four wheels on the green is considered cutting. Penalties, depending on the severity, can range from a loss of position in the starting grid of the next race, or if an extreme infraction an automatic DQ from the current or coming races. These extreme penalties would be reserved for maliciously unsafe or aggressive driving.

Open Practice:
8 pm US EST
Qualifying: 8:45 pm US EST
Green Flag (20 Laps): 9 pm US EST

Since we have people who can't stay late, this schedule will be strictly adhered to.

Cool looking forward to it :). I gotta say im loving this car where as before I just use to brand Porsches/Ruf as usless understeery/oversteery death traps which my Fwd Civic 08 can thrash . Now, atleast for the RGT I see it has a very nice ballance and nice grip to it. (Still think the rest are completely insane though :p.)

To understand my love with the 08 Civic type R look at my avatar and tell me it doesnt look similar the Chevy Cruze .

For fun ill put up a comparison.

Nice! Yeah, the RGT is the best of the bunch, I think. We run it in the ALMS series and it runs quite balanced.

I also am going to post pre-race info in the OP from now on, so it's easier to find. Will try to usually have it up Friday.

Ok cool, added an even more sporty pic of the Type R but yeah that Cruze is one of my dream cars :D. And is in the BTCC driven by my man Plato (Who is my avatar :)) and is quoted to be the best handling car ever in touring cars :D. The Civic also is praised for being the best handling Fwd car in GT5 so you can see the connections, looks and drives similar and also it sounds great its one of the best 2.0L noises on the game stock and even better with the sports exhuast .

I will be there tonight and better start to get in some practice in now. :scared:

Great race guys! Had a bit of a pileup in turn one, everyone remember you can't take your normal racing line when there's that much traffic.

Also, PM me with any infractions you witnessed such as contact or cutting, the approximately lap number and details.

I hit cowboys at one point, causing damage when I misjudged how far my car would slide out. I know it was only preseason but to be fair I'm giving myself an avoidable contact penalty. I'll lose one place on the start of next race, I have to give up my qualifying spot to the driver who qualified directly behind me by the time we reach turn one at Laguna Seca.

So glad I avoided the most of that pile up on lap 1 only receiving light rear right damage from Troylee (Thanks fast start :sly:), I managed that for the first 8 laps with Nova on my tail for all of it, I was about 1-1.5 seconds a lap down on my normal pace. After I pitted it was plain sailing until I pushed to hard trying to get a sub 31 lap and bonked the chicane giving myself front right damage, again I managed it losing around 5-6 seconds of my lead to Nova while I did. If not for the damage on lap 1 I could have had a much bigger lead but oh well :p.

Don't worry it wasn't your fault, it didn't hurt me I think.

I hurt myself failing to mess with TC instead of noticing the braking point...

Ya, sorry about that! I tried to avoid you but I had nowhere to go. :ouch:
