Drool NISMO all the way, If u get one what do u intend to do with it? if u want to drag race or like torque u could check into a Rb30det there were made for HSV i think in austrilia for one there cars. THe rb30det is a combination of the Rb25det and the rb26dett. But if u stick with the Rb26dett go with nismo everything that would be a killer car.

Nismo AND HKS lol.. Seriously, After what I've heard about them, I would put it on... Just take a overlook on the HKS S15 drift or the HKS R33 Skyline which did a 8.99s (I correct myself, it was in the 8.90.. I dont know the exactly time) on the 400 meters in Japan... It worth for the price and the power.

[EDIT] I dont really want to drag, but doing high-speed on highways I like. The summers when I make my run from Quebec, Canada to Los Angeles, California... This is high-speed highway. So with a Skyline, it would be VERY HIGH-SPEED highway lol

wow I just learned a lot I didnt know about skylines :D

I never even wondered why Ive never seen one in the US. Im gonna have to learn more about them and maybe they'll go on my post-college possilbe car list (currently its between an origional mini cooper and a WRX STI).

If you just think of it as PD needs a way to say they have "xxx" amount of cars, they will do it. That's why there's 50+ skylines, so many Rx7's so many Lancers' so many NSX's. No one is going to use all 50+ skylines, and it was complete overkill, but 700 cars looks better on a box than 623

:) The WRX STi is not bad, but needs improvement cause you always need to care about the engine. They tryed to improve the Boxer technology since 2000 but it doesnt have been improved, its even bad. '98 and '99 engines was even thougher and didnt need to care much then since 2000. But its a good car anyway. Good power and torque, and with a racing exhaust system it sounds like the devil

Like i said right now nobody is bringing them into the US rb motoring is thinking bout picking up where motorex left off but no confirmation yet. 2014 u can grab yourself a R32 for cheaper then this guy will be. Until then i'd just wait the price for a converted R32 from motorex was like 40k, R33, were like 60k R34 when they sold them were 90k so yah just wait save and grab u one. I persoanlly needs to be a petetion to knock our 25year law down to 15 cause automotive technolgy is progressing so quick that a car thats 25 years old is like a play toy to newer cars.

You can get them in the US there's just usually a 2-6 year wait, because companies sit on their fat asses and don't do work.

Either that or you can have temporary fun and have the car sent over with shell/ body panels/engine seprate...Then you can register it for 1 year as a kit car, in that time you can do the legalization yourself if you know what you're doing.

That sucks... Come to the Canada and get one and come back to the US with... Then park it in the garage until 2-6 years...

U cannot get one in the U.S. the only US goverment certified RI was motorex they went out of businness due to ppl using company funds for other purposes. Rb motoring might pick up the slack but they still have to get the crash test results from motores which carry a 1 million price tag last time i checked. Then they have to be certified by the US goverment. As for going to canada and getting one and coming back highly doubt it u could get inside the country but u would no insurance. Then when u goto register it you Insurance would check for a vin your car woulnd't ahve one cause it didn't go through motorex.

On another note if you bring one illegally *changing vins* and they find out your car will be smashed, you will be fined 25k, and atleast a 6 month prison sentence. Trust me alot of ppl have tried that. There are a few guys taht used to be members at AF then they got caught doing that so trust me they can and will find out. Just wait it out till 2014 or until RBmotoring maybe picks up.

What is the difference in a RX7 Type R, RX7 Type RS, RX7 Type RZ, RX7 Type RZ-A, RX7 Bathurst R, etc.....

Here is my answer as someone that owns and sells RX7's.

The Type R is the most common model - a 2+2 with a poor excuse for rear seats

The Type RS is a special model with different suspension upgraded brakes and again rear seats. The later RS models had 280bhp (99 on)

The Type RZ is similar to the RS but has storage boxes instead of rear seats, its also got some weight reduction and a 4:3 rear diff instead of the standard 4:1 unit. It also has Recaro bucket seats.

The type R2 is as the type R but without the rear seats. (this is the version I own)

The Type RB - royal bathurst is a special model, I am not sure on all of the differences but it definetely has cool red leather seats front and rear.

The Spirit R type A is the ultimate RX7, only made in very limited numbers in the last year of production. They have the 1999 on bigger turbo's pushing 280bhp as standard, 16bit ECU, Recaro bucket seats (the type B and C are different seats and one is an auto box) bigger brakes, uprated suspension, interior changes and a beautiful plaque displaying the number of the car built in the companies Hiroshima factory, not to mention loads of other upgrades.

There are also quite a few other models not even listed!

The car started production in 1991 and in 1996 was given a power hike due to an uprated 16bit ECU. The car also went though several revisions of chassis and exterior/interior mods. In 1999 the car got given bigger turbo's and a bunch more mods including a cool looking front nose.

Anyway thats about all I can be arsed to type right now.

Here is a pic of my FD, its not in standard form any longer! :sly:

Yeah GameShark. :) Hey great the R32 I got 785 HP :sly:

I want to get the 400R but I didnt check where I can win it. I'll check later in the price list

It should be under the Nismo part of nissian under other models. Does game shark have the code where u can buy ne car even if u can't normally? I have a codebreaker and i think thats one of the best codes.

In GT3 I was able to choose the unlocked cars to be 1$ but in GT4 there is no codes to unlock... (Maybe they doesnt have found yet...)

[EDIT]

Sorry wrong word... I was able to choose the locked cars to be 1$...

Sorry didnt see. It sucks anyway. The body of the R31 is ugly and the engine is not even better then the one of the R34... Did if I get a R31 and put a body of R34 on, it would be legal ???

Well duh!
The R31 is an old model and of course its not as fast as a R34.

You realize the cars can be imported and then made legal, right?

The thing with Skylines in the US is that Skyline's don't meet US Regulations. So the cars must be modified to meet the regulations.

You don't need to rebuild the car at all or make a kit car.
If you've got the money, you can have it legalized without rebuilding everything.

NO NO NO NO NO sry if i sound like a a** but U CAN NOT HAVE A SKYLINE IMPORTED the only ppl that can Import/Legalize skyline was MOTOREX they are out of busines. If you get one in the us that didn't get in or legalized by mtororex it is illegal if they find out have fun in jail for ATLEAST 6months, kiss your skyline good bye *CRUSHED*, have fun shelling out 25,000, and having that FELONY on your record.

Not true at all.

Wtf are you talking about? MotorRex is not the only place that legalized Skylines.
And skylines can be imported by anyone with enough cash to legalize it.

And if you did have an illegal car, you are not jailed (you can be jailed, they don't though). You can be fined. Mainly it's crush the car, or if caught at the dock, send it back to where it came from. Porsche 959, now that was a hard car to import. There is only one company that imports them, a few others have been brought in with the owners building to full race spec, which only certifies them for track use not road use. Good thing about the guy that imports them is that while making them more emissions friendly, he also ups the horsepower a good bit.

I've read about the 959. That car had to have many things changed to even start driving on US streets. And from what I heard, doing that can also lessen the value b/c the car is no longer stock.

Many 959s in the US today reside in museums and private collections such as Jay Leno's garage.
