Lancia Stratos Ralley Car
Current project: I'm working out the Lancia Stratos Ralley Car on Tahiti Maze now in preparation for the Tahiti Ralley (Hard). ASM=0 TCS=0. The Lancia is a well balanced car. It's tough to argue with the stock settings. The testing is going pretty well, but I find myself daydreaming as I slide up the switchbacks. Not daydreaming enough to crash, just enough to stay behind the ghost. I DID beat my previous best time from about a month ago, but it was hardly a clean run. I've had a couple of strange 'bursts' of traction on the first tarmac turn. I must be over-correcting when the Stratos starts to oversteer cause I go from the tail drifting around counter-clockwise to the nose whipping 90 degrees clockwise. It's pretty scary on such a tight road.
Notes:
I'm taking it slow. No rush. I don't play any other games and the next GT is at least a couple years away...I figure. Race cars give me a headache, but I'm looking forward to graduating to the 'big leagues' regardless. I really loved driving the Sauber-Mercedes in the final S license test. I hear I need to win the Nurb 24h and then the F1 Championship to get it.... well, that'll be a while from now, so I'll just have to try for better times (no, no not gold, that's suicide!) on the licesnse test when I get the need for the Sauber-Mercedes speed railroad. I've got some much more detailed dairy-type notes. I'll be trying to get those posted some time. In the meantime, Nice To Meet you and Thanks for putting up a cool board and a cool race times data-base. I'm off to enter a bunch of slow times. Verification is technologically impossible at the moment, but who'd need verification on my slow times anyway.... See ya round
Oh, and Cathedral Rocks B in the Lancia with no ASM or TCS is what killed my %.
Great car, just not on that course. Every time I came off that long gravel back straight and hit the tarmac the car just went nuts. I practiacally had to stop before the transistion....Goes to show ya why WRC is ruled by FF/4WD nowadays.
