What's with those stupid A-Spec point's anyway? because I won a Jaguar E-Type somewhere and thought I could win the European Classics and World Sports Classics (professinal hall) with it.
It clearly beats the opposition BUT an A/C Cobra... by the end of the 1st lap in Fuji 80's it was almost 10 seconds ahead. Funny thing is that says the race will give me 3 A-Spec points...RIGHT!!

What's with those stupid A-Spec point's anyway? ...

It's been answered before but here is the deal. A-Spec points are based a couple of things; power, weight, tires and downforce. The game works out the A-Spec points by comparing your car against the opposition.

So you have your 200+ hp E-Type against an 450+ hp Cobra and then you got the rest of the field thats made up of 15 hp Fiats. You got those 3 A-Spec points are because your car is a monster compared to all those Fiats and since they are so many, they bring the A-Spec number way down. This system could actually work if Polyphony made competitive series with balanced cars instead of the usual; one car thats at least 5+ seconds faster per lap then the rest.

In short: The A-Spec point system would make more sense if it compared your car against the fastest opponent instead of the entire field.

can u tell me how many versions of the disc game are made??

graphics with pedals or with rpm-counter???

the italian version is with rpm, multi5(i think cos only rent). i know also japan is in that way, but on ebay i find only pedals graphic(buy now in italy also). now i ask you if i buy gt4 now in italy, or france or uk or other PAL versions....what gt4 i'll get???

or can suggest me another 3d?

What are the two holes in the back of some of the race cars? The look like (OO) and are in the center of the trunk on (only) some of the LM and JGTC cars. I used to think they were the exhaust, but those come from the side of most of those vehicles. Can anyone shed some light on what they are?

Quick question: has anyone ever noticed that the '87 RUF CTR "Yellow Bird" has a real-style license plate while the rest of the vehicles have just a plate with the vehicle's name on it?

realize that here a sealed copy on ebay comes sure-at-home for 30euro, in a real shop also "not for sell separatly" copies are about 45-50euro! a new game as gt4 at debupt is 65euro in a blockbuster or other great chains of shops. i remember that supermario3 for NES was 130.000 Lire or actual 75euro. was it 1991?

Are you planning to do the american hall first than the european and japanese halls? I did the japansese (besides the beginner), but i guess that's not the best way to start...
just curiosity.

Well, I don't them all at once as such, I'll hop from event to event, doesn't matter whether it's in , special conditions, beginner, Next one up, etc.

Hey,

I too am just starting to play again. I had gotten to about 33%, then i moved, and got rid of the table i used to place my DFP on... well after about a year, i decided i was tired of not playing and have bought a desk to place it on. im at 45% now, and loving it!

I also didnt use any one specific path, although now im done the beginner, pro, Japanese and american, im working on all the manufacturers specific races. Ive done the shortest enduros all on a spec too, but havnt tackled any over the 4 hour ring race.

am also reading a lot on this site, finding it quite useful and entertaining.
