Just done the 4 hr Nurb race all in A-Spec in the Escort Rally car, it was 33 points so nice and easy, quite boring but I suck at the Nurb in anything that handles less than good.

That Chapperal is a beast though 112 at first change just isn't right!
 
ok I havent been on here for awhile so I need some refreshing tips. Im at 98.4% complete and I am down to 8 missions and the percent wise per race is what? if anyone can help me that would help me try to beat the game.
 
It's about 0.2% per race I think. Well I did 2 more races t'other night and it shot up 0.4%, So I think I'm right.

Yes it is 0.2% per race. Whether it is a 24 hour race or a single Sunday Cup race...it's always 0.2%.
 
Actually it's about 0.16978 percent per event (1/589) but your total percentage is rounded to the nearest tenth of a percent. So it'll more often than not go up by 0.2% but frequently it'll go up by 0.1%.

There are 522 races plus 33 championships plus 34 missions equals 589 total events that increase completion percentage.

(I'm pretty sure I counted the championships right but not 100% positive.)

I just lost my entire game because when I loaded it said my game save was corrupted how do I prevent this from happening in the future.

ps I think I'm gonna go throw the ps out the window now.
 
I've got myself into a routine rather simple one too.

I only ever turn it off after I've saved at Home, also just look for the top right hand corner, wait a few seconds on each screen and if the red icon doesn't appear you're safe.

I've done the first quarter of 1000 miles. In a 54 Wingman (SL300?) 220BHP, it only offered my 6 A-spec points but I couldn't be bothered to go back as I know I'd get the Cobra and I suck at Nurb, 14 laps to have a totally clean lap, best of 8"39 on S2 tyres.

That Fiat500 is so annoying I hit it at the long straight I literally didn't see it, it was white so sort of blended into the track.
 
Gah, after enjoying the 1000 miles event so much (Great cars, great tracks etc) I thought I was going to love the Formula GT event... But my god, it's so booooring... :\

Handed it over to B-Tard to finish Monaco for me, 40 laps in... I can't wait till this this championship is over haha; 'least I get a Sauber C9 for my troubles.

Dunno what it is, but the AI seems to drop off once you're out of drafting range... Anyone else find the Formula GT an 'Extreme' Snorefest??

I dunno, I just find the driving the Formula GT such a tough expirience, which requires your attention on every single moment - you can't really get bored with it. Except if there's some very good WRS combo waiting...
 
Wheel to wheel it's very tough, that's the challenge; to get away far enough so they can't draft you. Once you're at a stage where you can pit before they do, andyet still come out in first place, victory is almost assured.

Yeah, but even doing the first half of El Capitan without crashing and spinning is too tough. The only place where it would actually bore me would be High-Speed Ring.

Oh God.... High Speed Ring... Even the Oval was more fun than High Speed Ring. :D

Don't think I've got to el capitan yet... The Bumps are probably going to kill me though, hahaha.
 
F1 boring ? Nothing that lowered downforce and some ballast can't fix. Once you get to 150+ A-Spec points it becomes interesting again.
 
Well, I've finally completed this series, and I must say; things did actually get alot more interesting as the tourney progressed. I blew it at the Nurburgring thanks to me forgetting to change the settings, so the tires got minced.

Laguna Seca was an exhillerating battle until the ai guys started spinning out on the turn after the corkscrew and el capitan as promised was an absolute nightmare at first. It took me two thirds of the race to get away and seal a comfortable lead. Suzuka ended up like Laguna, the ai toward the end of its stint would spin it after the sweeping section. So all in all, not too boring and maybe I was a bit hastey. Anywho I've got 2 races to go back and finish. (Sarthe thanks to me inexplicably pitting on the penultimate lap and then the 'ring)

But first; time to enjoy my Sauber C9 rocket ship! :D

Can anyone beat my time of 1.40.440 on trial mountain using the Holden Monaro with ROAD tyres?

The Manaro must NOT have any modifications, including oil changes, and the time was 1.40.428 on the standard course.

P.S. Yes I am Australian and think the Monaro is great :)

Hard atm to find a good car to blow my opponents into the dust :D
 
For Sunday Cup, search around the forums for a beginners car. There are some shiney pearls which do the job you specified - blowing the opponents in the dust - pretty well. Look for a Mazda RX-7 GT-Limited '85 (~7500Cr.) in the Historic car lot (pre-'90s), or a Mitsubishi Eclipce GT '95 (7500-10000Cr.), or, if the '85 RX-7 isn't powerfull enough (it should be), then some better RX-7s are available within the 10,000Cr, which have even more power (I think they're the best you could get for that money. The best one has ~220HP, I think)
 
Yeah. I bought a Mitsubishi FXO or so. Pretty awful and I made a mistake so I'm running Suzuka Short Circuit to get 1,500cr to buy myself a Supra next time. Only 9,00cr. away.

Made a mistake with buying this slow car.

My tip: Do the whole series, win the Abarth - for every 5 races, you also get the ~8000Cr. worth Abarth, which you can:

  1. Sell
  2. Upgrade and take to the K-Car Cup (Stock possible, too)
