The cars got older between the two games, so the HP dropped. It's super realistic.
Interesting point... But if i spend 500k on rebuilding the Engine & the cars Frame, Shouldn't the Horsepower be 1,200 + again on the Nissan R92P ?

I wasn't being serious at all. 👍Interesting point... But if i spend 500k on rebuilding the Engine & the cars Frame, Shouldn't the Horsepower be 1,200 + again on the Nissan R92P ?
but those 1000+HP skylines and supras are just for show, running on a dyno to show people how powerful they are and maybe a drag event.
But not racing around a track
about realistic , i find GT5 more realistic. all this cars maybe able to reach 1000+ HP....but i dont think that a supra, skyline or an SLS can do 5 full laps in suzuka with tuned engine up to 1000+hp without blowing everything out of the hood.
It would be cool to have a tune/mod option "Drag or Circuit".
I would bet your wrong about supras. Trust me on this.
I think it's odd that a dodge SRT4 can get up to what? 650 - 750 hp?
But at the same time an NSX can't get much more than 500hp?
Plus I've met people who CLAIM TO have 800hp + Honda accords. Yet I could only get like 320 or something out of the one on GT5.

I am Japanese-car die hard fun but that is not possible.
I was reading about a 1000+hp drag supra some years back (a blue one with tubonetics stickers) and they were saying that every 3-4 drag races they had to check/replace the crankshaft cause it was twisting.![]()
Dont know where you got that information from but that was just a rumour.
Nah man not a rumour it was down on power compared with namely the Toyota Celica of the day so they needed it to stay competitive

For how long? A few qualifying laps? Oh wait it doesn't say there does it?
And how about relax a little? Do you get this agitated every time some one asks you to prove a claim you make?

Thats why companies sell stroker kit, with crank, pistons, and those things included. There are many 800 supras out there, adn yes you can drive a 1000 hp supra on drag many times.I don't think race spec 1200bhp skylines and supras are possible without forged duraluminium pistons and crankshafts.. and probably titanium-granite gearboxes
And I don't think that should be incorporated into our daily tuning options :-)

You guys are going to hate me, but I really hope that PD cuts every tuning options for race cars.
Yes, you heared it right. I hate it that armchair tuners try to change something on proven le mans winner like the XJR9.
Ricing crap, and 1000 hp supras and skylines? Do you know the ammount of money and time it takes to build 1000 hp supras? I can promise you that a 800-1000 ish supra blows anything away, just watch the videos on youtube. If you think japanese cars are ricers, than you have wrong. According to me, many cars in gt5 should have increased hp, while others should have decreased hp. The hp in gt5 isnt realistic. You will never see a sl65 with 1000 hp though, because no vendors manufacture the parts needed to reach those hp ranges in real life.GT5 prologue had it right. You only unlocked the tuning settings when you had proven yourself worthy to use them. None of this ricing crap with 10000 hp Supras and Skylines etc.
How come other cars have higher hp than in real life in this game? Look at all these "high" hp cars, not many of them can be tuned to those hp in real life, while jdm cars can, because there are aftermarket parts to them.I think it's hard to compare the drivability and reliability of a 1000HP Supra going in straight lines for 10 seconds at a time versus 20 minutes of track driving.
I've yet to see anyone show any example of any track car with that kind of power. Even for time attack cars.

Well, what do you say about the other high hp cars then? GT5 is about modding regular cars, and tuning has been in gt since first begining. Tuned streetcars is what made gt popular in the first begining. Then you suggest no tuning at all since "they shouldnt have it from the beggining"? Take your non tuned lambo, ferrari etc, and I take a tuned streetcar, se who smokes who on the long straight. You are just pissed because supras and jdm owns your expensive supercars. No, and I don't particularly care, because they weren't supposed to have it in the first place.
