I guess there's no hope for the racing kit- car transformation (like on GT2) :(
Wasn't the Racemod only an option at the manufacturers tuning area? And when it was applied it couldn't be removed.

i hpe u can use nos in free run and see the flames! What track is it that the MTRC is racing on?It looks like a road version of grand canyon?

I'm interested in the B-Spec commands, and the numbered positions. 5 is "Hard", but what are the rest? I see the two car icon might mean to draft the person ahead of you? P obviously means pit in, since we watched the guy using it in the above video demo of it.

I never thought of allowing the game race for me, but I might want to try it. The idea of running a Vitz 10 lap race on High Speed Ring really sounds more lke torture.

N20 doesn't create flames in real life , that only happens in the movies. So there should be no flames when you use the NOS in GT4. As for the MTRC, there has been two versions of the GRand Canyon, both the same layout but one as foun d in the MTRC demo has the start/finish section covered in tarmac instead of gravel all the way round.

Thats for the Toyota MTRC as already said, the MTRC has four electric angines inside each wheel, each of thoes gauges is for each engine and basicallr replaces the tach.
That's must be it. If so, then I definatly don't want that car. I really dislike the MTRC.

As said before. I hope NOS is only limited to the drag strip.

Isn`t the last pic a replay screen? And the first in post 21 looks like the study screen to see how well you`ve done in certain sectors.???

Live4speed: I always thought that if you had a turbo charged car and ran nitrous systems that fire did get shot out the exhaust...expecially if you don't have a cat. I could be wrong so please tell me before I make an ass of myself one day.

same here T100,but i don't no a hell of a lot so.....
I wonder if GT4 will FINALY have neutrial?!

SHIRAKAWA Akira - Thank you for the translations and the link to that program. I downloaded it and it is very cool. Hard for me to use since I know nothing of Japanese. I have pre-ordered the Japanese version of GT4 already, any chance you'll be around here in December and translate some more? It would be much appreciated. Thanks again.

The icon with two cars is the overtake command 👍

Superchargers and Turbo's are both basically the same thing, they just get air from different places

dear god please tell me you fall into the casual gamer type because that is totaly not right. if your a car guy you've got alot to learn.

Of course I'll be here in December, I'll try my best to translate more GT4 screens! I think it will be hard though, since japanese in GT4 is very technical and my limited self-taught knowledge of it relies a lot on dictionaries. If parts descriptions won't change (like the one for the semi-racing muffler in a previous screen, if I remember well, it's the translation of the english description of the Semi-racing muffler in GT1/2/3) it will be a lot easier, but a bit disappointing.

have you noticed that configuration??...
its got NA and turbo equipped together !!...
so if that happens...then we can combine the HP gains of NA and Turbo to get a good HP!! :D

Nope, it is just the image. The image is just an example of the features, it doesn't necessarily mean that you can fit everything to anything and at any one time.

You can do that in GT3 with the ITR, can you not?

With the two-car icon you can order the AI to actively try to overtake the car in front of him.

Indeed, although it's a good try.

Both SC and TC get air from the same place. They compress it in the same manner.
What differs is the method of driving the devices.

Superchagers are mechanically driven, either by chain, belt or electromagnetic clutch.
They spin at a lower RPM than turbo's and often have a higher compression ratio.
They are only good for low to midrange engine RPM boost, because once they start to spin too fast they overheat or 'fry' the incoming air. I don't think intercooling is used with SC because they don't put out enough boost to warrant it, and it would be easier then to go to a turbo.

Turbochargers, on the other hand, are driven by exhaust gas. They have a compressor, but also a turbine to drive the compressor using the energy of the exhaust gas.
These are often smaller and rotate much faster (up to 100,000rpm for some turbos)
Depending on the size they can be used for low to midrange boost, or big topend boost.
Sequential turbos are used to give both.

Once turbos start putting out a certain amount of boost, intercooling is necessary because the TC will overheat the air as well.

I know that most people are already aware of this, but some may not be, so I'll put it in anyway for their information.

Cheers.

Alpha and Shirakawa Akira-san, good show, mates.

Kind of a question I have concerns the Parts Change/Setting screen. The car in the background looks very much like a BMW. Do you know if the car you're driving will be in the background? For example, if I brought a BMW V12 LMR to race at Hong Kong, would I be able to see the sexy prototype in the background? Or if I drove a red-colored BMW like in the background, would I see my red baby in the background? I know that doesn't sound like a critical question, but I'm just asking. Of course, if it's any one car usually used in diagrams in GT games, it's the MKIV Toyota Supra. But I'm just curious if anyone's ever had the chance to check it out.

(Okay, ruthlessly attack me at will. It's happened before, so I'm used to being stuck in hell with Satan's pitchfork in my back. Go ahead. Ruin my day.)

Shirakawa, there were some clips of photomode with some text I'd like to see translated...they're from that SCEJ TGS TV link, the first GT4 clip.

Here's what I want translated:

Do you mean the video named mv_stg_gt4_1?

I've only been able to read these, since quality is very bad. I couldn't read any kanji/ideogram.
