Gt4 Nurb vid, 6 cars on track ;)

Yeah good vid. The view switching wasn't a bad idea for some places, but too fast. i would've prefered longer in-car periods.

The speed could well be emphasised by the thin track that Nurb has. I remember J.Clarkson saying that when your doing high speed tests on wide tracks (like a runway), you lose all sense of speed. So maybe it all seems extra fast just because Nurb is so thin. Does look smoothly and enjoyable to watch though.
 
Well it looked fast on the straight and that straight is quite wide. All that shaking and bumping of the cars was amazing. The switching was alil annoying but you didnt miss any thing. You got to see each part in replay views and incar view.

You're right about the downshift, but the brakes are full on, I'd be happier seeing a little tap on the brakes, if I did that in my car it wouldn't make it round the corner ;) Again at 1:27 brakes just smashed on full. I'm not complaining, but I know some that will be dissapointed with that.

Actually the technique when using carbon brakes, and I assume other big racing brakes, is to brake as hard as possbile initially. If you feel the brakes locking, then you gently come off the brakes. The brakes need to be upto temperature to work effectively and gently applying the brakes will not work, with carbon brakes at least.

I think that was AI racing because when the accelerate out of corners they do it very "Robotically" ,You can see it in the acceleration dial. If you watch GT3 with that turned on they look the same.
Either that or the human driver has a very precise foot.

Well, it's German so i can't understand all of it. They are just talking about GT4, the things we know and they are only showing NR. There are 6 BMW cars (of i recall correctly) you can select. In the Track selection menu there was a course named George V (or something like that) but they don't show that. Damnit.

But, it isn't interesting. Alot of blabla and nothing worth watching the vid, imo. But still, nice find. :)

That vid is actually old, like a month old but. If I remember correctly, OPM UK said they played a build no one outside of PD or sony has played. It's possible PD just polished the physics to near perfection over the weeks.

That Mag went to Print about 2 weeks ago, and then they could have played the Version they wrote about upto one month before that.
Maybe OPSM were just the first to get hold of it.
 
I know we are all excited for GT4 but god when i see things like this I just can't help myself. To be able to "drive" the full Nurburgring is figgin amazing, especially in the detail PD is building in. I am so happy they are putting more real life tracks in GT4.....

When I first got Prolouge i didn't think they could out-do themselves with Citta d' Arta but they have, they SO have.

- M5 Concept '04
- 120i '04
- V12 LMR#15 '99
- Mclaren F1 GTR '97
- M3 GT3 Race Car '01

(And 4 Audi's)
 
I'm betting that the 3 and 6 series will also be in there, I also hope that mad Audi RS4 is in there. Speaking of these cars anyone think you should have the option after buying the car to pay to have it de-limited, some cars would be more competitive if this were to happen I think. Plus I think it's time GT branched out from the 6 cars approach, we need more competition!!

Do you mean OPSM UK or the normal American one? That vid came out in July, on the 12th I believe. I have a part of that vid, it's shorter than the one I posted but it's all the same vid, it shows the Mclaren car and some other cars which I believe were controlled by humans crashing in the sand. I dont understand why it took us this long to get it =\ So the vid is pretty old. Think OPSM played that same build? I kind of doubt they played the build shown in that vid. That vid is from a GT4 event were PD was testing cars, a porches included ;) I believe OPSM played gt4 after that event and pd could have just made a tweaked build.

I just saw the vid, omg! the way the suspention moves of the Blue and White Supra near the end of the long straight is amazing! This game really is awesome!! .... just imagine how future GT4 titles will be like on PS3 and so on. WOW!!! :dopey:
 
What GT5 on the PS3 is probably the most amazing thought in gaming for now.......it is gonna be the most mind blowing like with any console jump.....PD will no doubt hit realism on the head with GT5......it WILL have everything......But GT4 is still the best to date and it is gonna be amazing!!!

Hell bloody yeah. I cant wait to see a London Track, also want a Sydney Track but we cant all be happy, lol.
