That guy should of used the BWM V12LMR, We have seen the Mclaren before!:indiff:

Well that's a pretty random post... Why would you post that here?

There a lot of Track Wish lists. Search if you want to bring one up...

Ha, the Sony PR Manager is cool. The girl mentions that Prologue is too expensive (40 Euros) and he replies that an ordinary game costs 60 Euros so 40 Euros for GT Prologue is really no that much. Hey, sony should sell the Prologue for 55 Euros. That´s fair because it is still 5 Euros less than an ordinary game!

The Sony guy also said they consider to remove the penalty system in the final version.

The Physics look challenging, but still, the last guy obviously never played a racing game.

He used to act in court tv shows as laywer. He really sucks.

Look at the red dot on the track map, that's the user right? He's in the lead.

The Highlighted dot on the track map only refers to the car that the camera is focused on, if you switch cars to view in replay the highlighted car, changes.

It is not necessarily the players car.

This are the main things that the Sony PR guy said in the video:

  • The version he played is still relativ far away from the final version
  • 60% asphalt tracks
  • 20-25 licenced tracks
  • 10 sec penalty: they consider to remove it for the final version.
  • about 600 cars

Correct or and things.

That's 20-25 real life tracks right, hmm what we got now:
  • Laguna Seca
  • Monaco
  • Tsukuba
  • Fuji
  • Motegi
  • Infineon
  • Nurburgring
  • Le Mans (probably)
Who knows, maybe we'll get Spa Francorchamps. :D

Once again Spa deliverd the good again today.

However I believe it is licensed out by FIA, usually at high Price and only for F1 games, Mr Ecclestone is a rather greedy chap, and very restrictive about anything he licenses out.
So not sure we will be seeing this superb track.

Ah, pity if it's not in. :[
However, Sony has the F1 license right now (including the tracks), don't they? And at the same time GTR has the track too. There's hope. :D

Edit:

But still, 20-25 licensed tracks is more than I ever thought GT4 would get. 👍

The FIA have no control over circuit licenses. If you purchase an F1 license, the F1 tracks are obviously included, but you can also purchase individual track licenses from the circuit owners.

Im not sure exactly how the licensing works.

But Mr Ecclestone, is a very shrewd operator, I believe that anything which is in any way attached to F1 has to be licensed by Formula One Administration.

Therefore I would assume that SPA being an F1 track would have to be licensed out by Bernies F1A, something he is usually loathesome to do outside of F1 titles, and usually at great expense.

The fact that Sony has the rights to F1 is irrelevant to GT4 as its strictly locked in to F1 games without F1A approval and probablly a percentage.

The problem being Spa is essentially only an F1 circuit, there are no loopholes where other series licenses could be used to obtain the rights.

Also I think the circuit itself being tied into an F1 contract cannot license itself out.
Unless PD managed to secure themseleves a license last year when SPA fell out with Billionaire Bernie, and was dropped from the circus.

20-25 licenced tracks? Alone with fanasty ones

I wonder if that figure incorporates the street tracks?
That would not be such good news.

If it Doesnt then that is fantastic.
