Gt4 Release Date

Hi everybody,

Got a catalog of a big toystore in the Netherlands in this week. It stated that gt4 will be in their stores 27th of November. Check the attachment! :)

So it remains pretty unsure when it will be released... I still think that PD won't make it this year... But I really want them to... :indiff:

Really off-topic but 98Cobra, GTA San Andreas is going to be mine to!

saw something...wtf.... Gran turismo!! it looked awsome!!!
And it played great :)

All we can do is speculate. If that's what you want to do fine, but otherwise this thread is pointless. I'm sure the moment the official date comes out there will be multitudes of new threads being started just to announce it.
 
Game sent me my accumilated reward points and forthcoming release dates for the next few months and there wasn't a sausage about GT4. What's going on?
 
My TV guide for next week just came in, and as always, they have a section dedicated to games. There is a column that says "Bad Luck Top 3". I'll translate it;
On the immense Gameconvention in Leipzig there were messages about games that are not going to make it this year again. Bad Luck, but hopefully the delay doesn't mean cancelled!!! Here is the bad luck top 3;
1. Gran Turismo 4 (PS2)
Believe it or not, but the rumours that GT4 slides to 2005, are getting stronger. If so, that's because Sony can't get the online part finished. Lets hope we're wrong, just like the many insiders.
I'll translate the 2 other games for the people interested;
2. Brothers in Arms (pc)
We already thought Ubisoft was too optimistic, but now it's official: this WWII shooter is not going to make the winter. There appear to be some problems with the sublime A.I. and the command-your-teammates concept.
3. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (pc)
Is this the 2nd, 3rd or 4th time this Tsjernobyl shooter has been delayed? Ah well, maybe the developers want to incorporate too many elements into their game. Or maybe they want to avoid release at about the same time as Half Life 2. Early 2005 then.

Now how dare they say that about GT4. We all know that the online problems ware problems of LAST year. KY said the online part is now ready. And no insider has ever said it is going to be delayed. And the fact that they already mention rumours.... what is this game doing on spot number one on the Bad Luck Top 3 then. I don't know if they are right about the other games though....

I think people are starting to confuse the releasedate of the PSP version of GT4 with the other versions. Keep an eye on IGN, I have it on good faith that they'll have some more info on this before this week is over.
 
Any early 2005 release date is the GT4 Mobile date to my knowledge. I am not only disbelieving 2005 for GT4 as part of "please no!!" but also because i think, genuinely, it's false.
 
its 11/2 here, i saw it posted @ EB games.. or GameStop (one of those) on the wall with a bunch of other games like "grand theft auto- san andreas"
 
I'll be very suprised if we see GT4 this year......actually I'll be very suprised if any of us are still alive for the release. :grumpy: :sly:

There is no official release date yet, many games stores are guessing at a date so that people can preorder the game, like Amazon etc.

The closest thing to an official date is on Playstation.com where rather annoyingly they have moved GT4 from November to December, and still don't even have a date for it, its under "Also due for release this Quarter" which translated means.."Still no idea when it will be out" :lol:
 
I've heard 5th Dec from most places, but one site mentioned June 2005 (however that's bound to be BS). I peronally reckon that before Chrimbo is likely, but we'll see.
 
Well, this may come as a suprise, but the GT4 is being held hostage by Al Qaeda until Polyphony / Sony cough up the secret to making / installing the aprofitable steering wheel replacement for gt4....( they're smart but not that smart )
 
It would be nice if they put in the new F430, but it probably wont happen.
Damn fast:0-60 in 4 sec. and topspeed of 315 km/h (200 miles/hour :) ).

I've been told that next week there will be an announcement regarding the release date of GT4. My contact works for SCEE.

I don't know if that is good or bad news. We'll see.

they could lose their job if they release any information... plus, they might misteriously disappear...
 
They would lose their job if they leaked secret or held back info, and it's not hard to find a information leaker, besides they would never leak any info unless they were being paid to anyway. However, saying that there will be an announcment in a week regarding the release date is not a big deal. We still don't knwo the release date until theannouncment, if there is one, ofcourseSamlborp could be lying to try and get us to think he's important and knows stuff the rest of us don't. Either way, it's no big deal.
 
It's cool and all that we (the U.S.) is getting GT4 before Japan, but what about that whole transfer the GT4P licenses to GT4 thing? Will that still be valid?
