What's ironic is that you probably expended more energy apologising for those abbreviations than just writing properly.

All I want is for GT4 PAL to be out before xmas, so I can have one to play in the christmas holidays.

I have a JP PS2 and I can play only JP games (And that's what I need).
the best versions are the JP versions (for me). Besides I know Japanese. :)
 
Just get the game out already....some people need this....i played gt3 for 2 weeks straight after it came out and got 75% done with the game...all the licenses and then my brother decided that he was gonna delete my game and start a new one in his name.....I havent played it since......i need this one now
 
Well, see, PD knows that happened, so they're holding the release until you kill your brother, so it can never happen again.

If somebody loves the JP games then he/she should buy the JP versions! 👍

FINALLY!!! IT'S HERE!!!!

GT4 has already been released worldwide, and they have all the ferraris and porsches you can imagine. (and the Dodge Tomahawk too!!) Sony also sells a simulator you can sit inside with a 42 inch plasma screen, just like the big ones at the arcade. GT5 is halfway finished, with 2,500 cars, 1,200 tracks, and they are using real-world textures. Totally awesome.

or maybe that was from an episode of sliders, or I just woke up.
 
The possible inclusion of the Tomahawk is actually something thats not been mentioned much here.

Don't taunt me. No please don't. Really I mean it. I reckon, should GT5 have the same expansion scale as GT4 from GT3, it will feature:

a) 1700 cars
b) 300 tracks
c) something totally new
d) probably something hardware-like, so maybe a cordless steering wheel or something.

And, it will be released in summer 2008!! :D :D :D :D
 
Hey I got a new release date ! At EBGames In laval (montreal suburbs)(canada) Gt4 is said to come out in october!!

Future Shop (still same city) says November 9th
Wallmart says october 30th

So that gives an idea

I predict (with my magical pretiction powers (lolll)) that its gonna come out between October 28th and november 12th!

So its soon ppl! :D
 
no, i was hoping for that october-november buffer time so i could actually play San Andreas before GT4 kicked in, now i may have to cram in San Andreas like nothing...
on the plus side, i'll get to play GT4 earlier
but San Andreas! oh i don't know what to do now
 
I will be dreaming of GT4 while I am playing San Andreas. After I have bought GT4 I am happy to play San Andreas because I know GT4 will still be there waiting when Im finished.

Or just listen to Kazunori who already said wat the releasedate was during the 3e press conference.
 
..hmm...amazon.co.uk has had release date down for october 31st for ages

It also says in the small print, release date subject to change.

(so thats like any time in the future, narrows it down a bit I think ;) )
 
That's because everybody is trying to make a guess. Like it was supposed to come out November 20th, 2003. Most people had it pre-ordered, and it still hasn't come out.
 
can anyone speculate if sony and pd will make a combo pack for the GT4 release; PS2 unit with controller and game? cuz i've seen a lot of different packages of playstation available from asia retail sites and would love to get a GT4 package since i dont own a PS2 yet (i think they have a GT4 prologue package, but not sure).
 
Icon,that would be an absolutely fantastic way to introduce yourself to the PS2 world.You should be blown away even if you have to get the game and console seperately. 👍
 
I really hope this is incorrect but I just got the latest EGM in the mail the other day and it has a feature on all the upcoming racing games. I noted that it said GT4 will be released in January 2005. :(
