I was just wondering, how many credits do we start with?...... In PAL terms. Im guessing there will be no difference between the US PAL and the PAL version New Zealand will get.

Cheers!

Ive been trying to avoid reading spoilers about the game so im not even sure how the game starts out. If its like the rest of them you usually have to get at least one set of licenses to advance in the game. If thats how it is then that is how I will start attacking. Get at least silver in the set required to start the game.
I will also look around at how the game is layed out and the location of everything.

All i know is im going to try and score the '05 GTO ASAP, then ill proceed to kick serious arse up and down the game world....whatever that means.

Import license transfer from GT3 and the 100,000 credits. Buy a Buick GNX and race it in mid level races for the challenge, credits, A-Spec points, experience and the prize cars. Try it at some new race courses for the experience. Then, shoot for all gold in three licenses. Then use the Mazda RX-8 and enter the Mazda dealer race to win the RX-8 LM race car and use that it in various races that will be a challenge, etc. Get the rest of the gold Licenses and then shoot for cars I want badly starting with the Muscle cars and then going from there.

My plan is to toy around in arcade for a while, probally check out all of the cars there before settling on one for a bit of arcade racing and race on a track that I haven't played in previous GT titles. Then hit the GT mode and start looking for a semi decent second hand car...probally something from the Nissan or Mazda stable although I might go old school again and get the AE86 like I did with GT3. Do a few of the license tests so i can at least start racing and making a little bit of money. Finally, check out the photo mode and hope I can upload it to my computer and send it to my computer at work for wall paper.

I'm planning not on importing my licenses and money over. I'm not planning on going all for golds at this moment until later down when I am truly confortable using my DF with GT4.

For those interested, here is a step by step guide on how to get through the early stages of GT4 w/out spending too much money...

I'm sure this will help someone....hopefully! ;-)

Well, I'll just get the money from GT3 save - just in case and strat with licenses and use those prize cars from start ...

I will probably go through the cars first, tracks, licenses , etc . Test out all the tracks, cars.. and do as much as I can in the game.. hours and hours of madness..

Think I'll start by having a few races in Arcade mode, hopefully a couple of the new tracks will be available.

Will then have a go at the first couple of licenses to get at least a silver in each test.

Will then check out the races available to me, probably starting in the beginner league and see what cars I need to complete it, and then make a decsion what what car to buy. I may or may not import my GT3 data for more cash depending on how rediculous the car prices are.

Will then go back to doing the license tests I think.

Oh... FFS - I don't know!! I just want to bask in the splendour of finally owning it! :)

If you import your GT3 save can it gives you 100,000cr. and Bronze on the lisences correct?

Can you still win the bronze lisence cars?

I'm just wondering, and it would be interesting to know how each of us intend to attack GT4.

Some like to do as little as necessary to get licenses that hit Simulation Mode as soon as they can...

Others like to get 'Golds' and all the prize cars this gives, then hit the game.

I'm normally the latter of these two. This time with GT4 I intend to get the Golds as I normally have with the DS2. Then I'm toying with the idea of completely opening and finishing the arcade part of the game so I can practice with my DFP. This hopefully will open all the tracks also ;) , for practice purposes... as well as some good cars...

After that I'll assualt the game fully...

How about you what's your plan???

EDIT: Hopefully you'll be able to 'transfer' Gold licenses from GT4P to GT4 (with the cars given in GT4) like what PD had said. Then I'll be able to hit arcade sooner...

I've actualy thought abought this....
first off I dont think Im gonna buy any cars like I did with the other 3 games, with all the cars we're gonna get just for getting through the tests.

As far as playing the game well as always gotta get all the license's first.
and just beat the living daylights out of the AI.
