Thats the same video and looks just as rough as if you enlarged your original link.
Its Hardly a high quality video, its blurry as hell, and you can still see the jaggies on the skyline at times.

For a comparison, check out the high quality images that were released prior to prologue even the very early ones from Tsukuba, then actually play prologue and the difference is quite a dissapointment.
Even though the game actually looks quite good, the Pics are just much better than the game in reality.

MGS2 Looked Cack, and lacked atmosphere.
Can you show me some high-res gt4p pics that actually had gt4p on them? They might have been pics from photomode on the newer build. Dont forget, gt4p was just a demo based on the E3 gt4 graphics. Like I told code, things change over a year and I believe reading an article from gamespy. It talked about alot of games and gt4 was included. In the gt4 discussion part, there was a photomode pic, I believe it was the cobra one and there was a caption under the pic........"it looks this good."
And they played the latest build, you didnt and I didnt. I'm judging from vids and people's opinions. Those vids didn't show any jaggies, dont lie to yourself.

UH, I am just saying you keep leaving out another competitor. Enthusia is the one thing PD must really worry about since there hasn't been a racing sim that has come close to GT4. Enthusia is a new opponent, in which PD has realized that they finally have a rival in the market.

I think that enthusia is a better game to compare GT4 to because it is on the PS2.....However it doesnt really have the number of cars and tracks that GT4 has to make it a big big competitor......although I think the graphics may well be a bit better.

SLR............amazing!.......hope thats in GT4.....the concept version would be cool aswell....

Arwin could you show some full size captures.
Small shots always improve the look, But like I said unless your going to play it on That Mini Tv its not really worth while.

Its like the background of Fuji, When you look at the background of the green mountainous land behind the track, In the Released screen shots everyone was gawping how good it looked, but in fact in game its quite horrible especially in replay looking back at turn 1. Ughh.

I've posted this in a Mixed forum (PS2 and Xbox) and I got a bunch of fan boy's squabbling over who's console is bigger (PS2 and XBox users)...

Thats pretty much what it has become.

You mean the cars sound like hairdryers?! blast! I had high hopes for this one.
No...when PSM went to E3, they found some detail that actually seemed better than GT4. Don't forget, PSM has also had a chance to try GT4.

Hate to admit it, but PD could have done the Fuji track alot better than what they have done. Hell, some gt3 tracks look better than the Fuji track  But I dont think trying to make your point with a year old build, is a smart idea.

Actually, Enthusia has enough cars and tracks. Remember, Enthusia hasn't let out much about how many cars and tracks there are. But yes, I think comapring GT4 with Enthusia is better. Not b/c of just PS2, but the way each game looks, and plays according to magazines. (Not IGN, they're full of themselves)

Sums the mentality of some forum members up pretty well. I may be called an xbox fanboy, but I don't talk utter crap and slate games I havn't played. I'm actually quite fair :)

I agree with that. The Fuji track just looks, well plain. Only a course through a field IMO.

Delusion.........

Yeah the Fuji track is a real dissapointment.....but I suppose it was an early build...the scenery looks flat and burred.......but Im sure it will eventually look quite cool.

Perhaps you need a better monitor Code. or perhaps an Eye test.

Heres a pic from long before GT4p, in reality its not this sharp.

Now did that hurt much?

Well done. You see; helpful critisism, within the boundaries of reason, is good for you and Gran Turismo. If nobody speaks up about stuff they do wrong, they might not iron out those wrinkles when the time comes for another game. GT was never perfection. It's always been the best, but it could be so much better.

Yes. Of course now since PD has 2 new competitors in market, PD should go all out with GT5.

That pic is from the dev kit, note, that pic was out before 03 E3.

that is the only complaint I have about Forza.......the cars are not shiny to start off with

And with his dying breaths, cobra whispered faintly....Gran turismo has the best...graphics...EVAR

For some reason, IMO, Enthusia looks like it has more realism to it than GT4. Enthusia makers, though haven't released (or from what I've read about them) anything yet on flipping-over, damage, etc.
