GT4 vs Forza [Let the battle begin]

I know......that i wouldnt mind comparing with when we eventually do get some info.......Forza is really not something to compare to GT

Robin, forza is a great thing to compare to GT4, 2 sim racers or rival consoles, both making claims of being super realistic etc, that imo is the kind of stuff that should be compared :P

Enthusia looks amazing, the producer was a technical director for one of the teams at Le Mans, the body movement in the vid looks excellent, so it should mean an excellent physics engine.

We would love to compare it, we just don't know alot of things to compare it with. About over 85% of the game is still under wraps.

I do understand that.......the problem is that they are different platforms.....its like comparing the best small car in the world with the best luxury car in the world......they are both amazing in their own right but cannot really be compared together outside of their own classes (platforms)
 
But Forza is XBOX's first sim racer. They are could to compare.
Like I said, until the makers of Enthusia release more details on Enthusia, there's nothing we can compare.

1: We don't know the cars or tracks
2: We have no idea how the gameplay will turn out
3: We don't even know what features are in it.

About the only course I know is Nurburgring. And of the cars, the best one so far seems to be Mercedes' SLR.

I didn't know you can't compare games across platforms... They both belong in the same class, racing "simulator" video games. Why the hell not compare them?

People compare games all the time. Like the motoGP on xbox made by climax and the motoGP on ps2 made by Namco.

Or Dead or alive 3 on xbox compared to VIrtua Fighter 4 on Ps2.

It's just common sense.

Whether it's racing, fighting, or war games.
 
But eventually your going to hit a brick wall where the constraits of the platform will cause the comparision to end.......You can only judge which one is the best to a certian point.........

There are variables, but to be comparable, they don't have to be the same. What limitations are you talking about? You saying PD can't put body mods in GT4 because it's on ps2? No they chose not to, focusing on other aspects. Games have ups and downs, its the overall quality and fun factor (and personal opinion) that makes one better than the other.
 
Eventually GT4 will not be able to meet the graphical poly power of Forza.....and at that point you cannot compare graphics........there........brick wall!
 
Graphics are one part of the equation. And ingenuity and good ol fashioned talent are more of a deciding factor than hardware alone, at least with this generation of games. Do you judge games solely on graphics? If so, you are a sad little man.

This thread was not meant to hurt anyone or create anywhere near this much agro... but it has and it's quite interesting where the agro is coming from, now I know Cobra and Robin were breast fed by PD and Sony taught them there ABC's but if you can't have a mature conversation don't post if you don't have somthing constructive to say DONT POST no one is forcing you to post your warped trash...

GT4 will be amazing....
Forza will give GT4 a good run for it's money....

Yes, and as I said before, Enthusia will too. PD has finally meet 2 companies who can equal their game.

I like the GT series, Forza looks good. But I only play GT4, because i have no XBOX. And I won't buy one. It's to expencive for a little student. :scared:

Forza looks so god damn rubbish!.....Its look way to clean, everything is shiny and looks so cartoony and unrealistic......In terms of graphical power and poly count it may well be better but it looks really bad compared to GT4......Forza looks like the cars should be moving or something......more like a photo shoot than racing.....

GT4 owns all racing games.......nothing comes close.......reason why?......cos it aint GT is it!!!

It is a vaild point......they do look cartoony and unrealistic from the pictures shown in this thread.......

and I notice the point that is pro Frorza.......about the graphical and poly power in the quote......obviously u can't read very well!
 
Robin, go pack a few pages, and look at my thread on what looks cartoony, I think you would really benefit from it. And no it's not valid, you put your point across like a total arsehole.
 
All I can say is when Code posted a real pic next to that TVR pic of Forza, Forza looked far closer than the GT3 pics weve seen. And anyone who says Forza looks too clean see it moving and it looks better, in fact it looks like a higher res GT4 in motion.
