 Seriously, if you don't own an xbox. Who cares what you think. You can't play it anyways. Therefore this thread is retarded.(Yes i know you can play at your friends house,etc..... but you won't be able to play it on a consistent basis unless you have no life at all)

Neither one is going on both consoles so how can you really say that one is better then the other.

i actually suppourted people having both an x-box and a ps2. like the consoles the grill and the oven have the same purpose (cooking food in this case) but the type of food you can cook is different and so is the way it is cooked. same as 2 consoles providing different gams and different ways of playing them

You knew this question was coming. Was Forza created to compete directly with Polyphony's Gran Turismo series, or was it developed from the ground up, without any preconceived ideas of it being a "killer"?

Garrett Young: We have tremendous respect for Yamauchi-san and his team, and we don't like the term "GT Killer." In kicking off this new franchise we did a lot of thinking and asked gamers what they loved in console racing sims, and that work led us to our design. The GT series is a huge inspiration for us, but we also have tremendous experience with, and learnings from, the Gotham series, Rallisport, TOCA, NFS and other console racing series. We are all looking forward to GT4 - and we are constantly amazed at how well Polyphony pushes the limitations of the PS2 hardware - but we're all also really satisfied with the innovations and new direction we're taking the racing sim genre in Forza Motorsport, giving gamers the power to customize and personalize every car in their garage in a way they have never been able to in a racing sim like ours. At the end of the day, we are very honored by any comparisons gamers make between Forza and GT4.

That was taken from a teamxbox.com interview, and Garret Young is the lead program manager.

It amazes that this debate is still as heated as always, even funnier is that most people who say "whatever's" physics are fake and then compare it to another sim can't actually drive themselves !!

No they said they don't like the term GTKiller, he never said why and if you watch and read most things about Forza you will see that is a racing sim not an arcade racing sim, in fact he does say
"really satisfied with the innovations and new direction we're taking the racing sim genre in Forza Motorsport"
No mention of arcade in that interview at all apart from:
"The GT series is a huge inspiration for us, but we also have tremendous experience with, and learnings from, the Gotham series, Rallisport, TOCA, NFS and other console racing series."

Div is back
To Me this prooves that Forza isn't going to be a sim racing game. The guy said it by themselves. They don't want to be a Gt Killer. So If they are not Gt, they are arcade...right?

They never said want. They said they don't like the term "gt killer".

Forza is looking better, and whoever said, if you don't own an XBOX, don't bother?
How about this, whoever, if you don't own a PS2, don't even talk about GT4.
How do you like that?
Anyone can talk about any game they wish.

I made the xbox comment. Guess what, i own both. So your comment doesn't mean **** to me.

I have the ability to praise and ***** about both consoles, because i have played them both thoroughly. But it makes absoultely no sense for someone to rag on the xbox when they don't own one and have only played it a couple of times.

***** about something you've never tried just based on what you've seen and heard is just plain stupid. Wait till you've tried something b4 you ***** and moan about it.

Forza vs. the real car (according to people in a Gamespot forum
smaller versions of these pics are in the new XBN ).
The pic is probably from a pretty old build since the ground looks worse than in
most Forza pics.

Thats pretty damn good modelling, arguably better than GT4's wheather you like or dislike the cars textures, the model itself is second to none.

Oh god, I knew he would be here soon. If that looks like an RC car, I wish I had one :P

how cobra sees forza

rcstunt-pic.jpg

VROOMMM!!!

Cobra no one was arguing the realism of it, the simple fact is that that car is very pretty.

Looks great. But not perfect though... Check the roof line on the rear door... on the model, it keeps going up, following the front door. On the real Evo, this line starts to go down on the B pillar.

Cobra how can you diss the models in Forza, they're superb, so you dont like the textures, that doesn't mean the models arn't great. And as for the roof line, if you compare that shot to others with the same car you'll notice that it doesn't keep goping up, it's the angle thats made you think it does fpoto.

I guess the car in the game does not take gas as the gas tank door is not modeled

The car looks like it was made out of aluminum foil. The reflections on it would look good if the outside world had realistic lighting, but it dont.

The only thing I really don't like in Forza now is that, in every pic showing movement, the car wheels look exactly the same... :indiff:

It's not finished :)

I actually think the relfections on the car are superb, they follow the lines in a realitsic fashion when you compare them to the photo.

Yes, the reflections on the car looks good, but look at the ground. Look at the background. You have this nice shiny car with the dullest graphics surrounding it. GT4 road textures are far ahead of this game
