GT4 vs Forza [Let the battle begin]

What are you smokin' crack? Where did i say that Forza is gonna be the "new king"? I think GT is an unbelievalbe series and i love it. To me, the GT series is and will remain the king of racing games until proven otherwise.

Stop living in your fantasy world and think that everyone is doubting GT4. It's a ****in' game, no matter how good it looks and how realistic it is, if you're not entertained by it, wtf does it matter?

And wow, I just watched some new GT4 MOVIES and videos, and boy oh boy, it makes Forza motorsport look VERY bad! I still cant point itout, but so far everypic of Forza cars you guys have posted I have found matching cars in GT4 that look better.

I'm really impressed withPD. To make a system thisold have graphics that oust newer systems is incredible. I see why they won someGerman award. They are awesome.

Forza vs. the real car (according to people in a Gamespot forum
smaller versions of these pics are in the new XBN ).
The pic is probably from a pretty old build since the ground looks worse than in
most Forza pics.

The car model itself looks fantastic (first one in Forza that I think actually LOOKS
good & realistic), BUT,......

👎 What the hell is up with the track detail? Looks like they photographed the environment using a REALLY bad camera lense and stuck a fantastic-looking CG car smack-dab in the middle.

Cobra, how well do you know this guy. If you don't know him personally change your password befoer anyone else finds it because theres plenty of users here who would use it in a maliciouse way. He may not do anything with your password but at the end of the day you can't be too safe when online.

is the realism that important? When i play the game, if the cars look pretty good that's good enough for me. The most important thing about a game to me is, is it fun? If the game can entertain me for several months, it did it's job.

If so i clearly said "pretty good".

And your whole theory of screwin somoene. Most guys(not all) will **** pretty much anything(not everything). When it comes to dating, that's a whole nother story.

Kakuto Chojin looked pretty nice, but you couldnt pay me to play that **** again.

On the other hand, street fighter 3's 2d graphics look old and dated, but I love that game.

The graphics were nicer in NFS hot pursuit 2 on xbox, but the PS2 one played much better. So I bought the ps2 one.

You're supposed to play games, not watch them.

+ Scenery (3D people in rally, in pits, crowd) mm not really, unless they change it from prologe
+ Photo Mode meh, actually, it will be nice, but i'd rather take photos of my car
+ 50+ tracks Plus many with reverse option mmmmhmmm, i LOVE THIS FACT
+ Car Museum I LOVE THIS FACT
+ The Logitech DFP I LOVE THIS, but it'd be better with a clutch, and gearstick on the left
+ Force Feedback (Sorry forgot to add this) I've gotten so used to it i don't even notice it, but i'll notice if it isn't on. in other words, can't live without it
+ 500 Car's BEST FACT EVER!!
- Online play is not as established as the Xbox (Netcode not as good as XBox) Disagree, i love the ps2s online play, it's so simple, and has never had any problems, works really well (in australia) and doesn't cost any money
- No Damage Meh, I don't care, i don't plan on crashing, if i made the game, if you crash, the games over
- No Interiors (Possible Minimal Interiors) WHO CARES?! it's a racing game, not a interior ricing up game, it's not like if i put a nardi steering wheel in there my controller will become super responsive
- No Flipping Cars ( For 'the ultimate driving simulation' pretty unrealistic ) Boo hoo, flip your car it ain't gunna be running the rest of the race is it? so what's the point
- No Skidmarks true, unhappy about this
- No Ferrari & Porsche & Lamborghini very unhappy about this, you poofs ea and microsoft, give it to polyphony, porche is in the game anyways under RUF
- No reverse lights boo hoo
- Some of the car's look blurred (possibe just bad screen shots) and yes it's the car in focusdiasgree
- The AI runs on tracks ( make's the AI predictable) annoying, very annoying

Forza

+ Ferrari & Porsche ( Lamborghini Probably ) I have my reasons for beiliving Lamborghini will be in Forza BASTARDS!
+ Reverse Lights (lol) meh
+ You actually leave rubber down during an entire race to create a racing line and where you skided off (slow down next time you see that ) I like this very much, though it'll probably be done to overkill
+ Drivetrain AI (The AI learns and doe's not run on tracks) If it's as good as you say, i very much like it
- No Logitech DFP (unsure the XBox doe's have USB) controllers have always licked balls for x-box, only to be expected they will here too
- Force Feedback (no one is very clear on this Xbox is appreantly a ***** to program for) as i said, can't live without it.


OVERALL,

GT4 comes out the winner on preliminary specs, only slightly though.

WHO CARES THOUGH

they're x-box then ps2 exclusive titles, they're basically the same, whatever system you have, buy it's game, if you've got both buy both

+ Damage wow!, good that it's in
+ Scenery, very pretty indeed
+ Flipping Car's, happens in real life, thank god it's in
+ Ferrari & Porsche ( Lamborghini Probably ), w00t
+ Reverse Lights (lol), well makes sense, real cars have em

I find it shocking that GT fans are willing to pretend that important parts of racing that Gt misses arn't important just because it's not in Gt Idiots.

Its amazing to see how Forza developers can whip its fans into a frenzy by adding gimmicks like reverse lights and skid marks. NR2003 has skid marks. Do I ever use them to judge braking points etc? No

AI runs on tracks? What?! Oh I see. You guys rather not have the AI drive like pro racers (Who follow "tracks" as you guys call it) Instead you want the AI to drive erratic etc. Sorry folks, thats not realistic.

Does Forza have photomode?

Does Forza have dift competition?

Doez Forza have car musuem?

Does Forza have 500 cars?

Does Forza have license tests?

Does Forza have oil changes?

Does Forza have gas changes?

Does Forza have car washes?

Thats what I thought. All of those can be + for GT (If you put reverse lights as a + I see no reason not to add these)

They can also be a minus for Forza becaue it does not have these features

You say Forza add gimmicks, but those things you mentioned sound pretty gimmicky to me
Who knows what forza has, but from what I've read, in terms of pure racing, dodging derbis on track, oil spills, damage, decent Ai, cars flipping over etc, it might just get the upper hand

I guess things like car washes, drift compos, and photo modes are more important then performance effecting damage, bits that rip off your car, oil spills etc .

Its amazing to see how Forza developers can whip its fans into a frenzy by adding gimmicks like reverse lights and skid marks.

Earth, amazing how PD can whip it's fan boys into a frenzy over "gimmicks" like photo mode . Things like reverse lights and skid marks have been in fricking PS1 games, it's in-excusable that they are not in, skid marks and reverse lights are not gimmicks, they are OBVIOUS things ANY sane person would put in a racing game. I hope PD sorts it. The simple fact is earth, it pains you too admit that a game just may, and I stress may as I've played neither, just have the upper hand. We shall see.
