EDIT: Now i just need to either change my mph to kph or do the math...hhmmm....hehe

EXelero
wots 'bilge?'
do u mean bile as in flem or is it something else i'm completely missing here?! :dunce:
A bilge is an area in a ship used to contain material, usually water, as ballast.

Bilge water is essentially waste water.

I used the word bilge in a derogatory manner to convey a meaning of uselessness.

(This is too much fun)

On the subject of Complaints:

I want you all to know that my complaints from time to time are not giving without consideration for CFM.

True, they are not always exactly what you/he wants to hear.

However, I wouldn't dish it out if I hadn't dealt with it myself for a full year of organizing this series.

Boom took it when he ran the WRS.
I took it when I ran the WRS.
CFM will take it as he runs the WRS.

Remember that before you all get upset with my original comments regarding this combo.

For that matter,
Also try to remember my final comments about the combo.
Iceman quoted them in response to Jpec's words for me.

So remember, complaints might not be the nicest thing but they have a place in the series.

Plus, even with all of what I have said I am still running the race and planning on turning in a time. :trouble:

Kent, check your PMs. I sent you one.

And as for complaining; I meant it like this:

Instead of wasting time saying how much you dislike the selection this week, why not better use that time to get faster laps?

i supose you should know about sections of boats with a name like canoe eh?
why would you wanna say anything in such a derogatory way to koly or anyone else on this forum for that matter???

standard235
I can't do it. I don't have it unlocked yet.

Standard, nor did I, but it's easy to get. Grab yourself a muscle car (I got the Plymoth Cuda), bang in some mods - including transmission, because it has a low top speed otherwise - and run just THREE races (muscle car series). It took me an hr and I was watching Seinfeld at the same time :p

Totally agree with EXelero here, i don't know why you really felt the need to take a stab @ koly for just saying how she feels and then making an attempt on humour @ EXelero just cause she's not familiar with boating, as i'm sure 90% if not more of the poeple here are not. Canoe you really need to apologize to both EXelero & Kolyana, i don't like ppl taking a stab at my friends for no reason and i am pretty sure many people will not put up with your unintelligent belittling comments.

Run a few laps and so far my best T1/2 times with my DS1 is
T1 - 23.358
T2 - 48.469

:indiff:

Yo, if you have a ds2 I suggest you use that.
Don't get me wrong, I have been in the position where a ds1 was all I had to use. :yuck:

However, with a ds2 you can get so much more control... The only thing I can imagine being better would be a wheel.

Of course, it's all on you so whatever you decide, good luck.

You do have to do the Muscle Car Championship, the last series in the American Events section. You can buy a new classic muscle car and beat it real quick like. Shouldn't take you more than an hour to get the money to buy the car and tune it a little bit to be able to smoke everyone. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. I actually had a Mercury Cougar XR -7 '67 in the garage so therefore tuned it a little and won the three races in the Muscle Car Championship. Now I have a Superbird. 👍

BTW, we need a broader colour palette for the fonts on the GTP forums because Sienna cannot portray the dark beauty of Walnut Metallic. :sly:

You can use any of the 16,777,216 colors that can be displayed on a computer. All you need is the proper hex designation of that color.

And after 17 laps I cut of another .7 seconds off the total time:

T1: 0'23.034
T2: 0'48.011
T3: 1'**.**6

:trouble:

Finally turned my first lap in this weeks comp. Don't know if I'll have much time to do more as I'm working and trying to piece together a large car comparison - 25 cars and counting.

T1 - 23.708
T2 - 48.828

That has got to be the biggest bunch or brown nosing bilge I have ever read!

:sly:

I crack me up

YOU, may be the only one you DO crack up!

and as for your sig............

"You will never know how far you can go until you've gone too far."

You just have!

I agree, it's very handy to be able to appropriate how much brake, throttle, and steering you want.

And about all these "complaint" arguments going on, it's really constructive criticism to better the WRS in future races.

The way some races should be chosen is, get a blank memory card, don't do any races in GT Mode, and select cars/tracks from Arcade Mode.

That way, no one won't have that car/track locked and won't be able to use it for the upcoming week and miss out.

That's my two cents, it might not be worth much to you, but it would help all around for the others that you aren't thinking of.

(This isn't directed towards anyone, I'm just putting it out there for you to read, and hopefully understand ;) )

ok, had a go this morning b4 uni, and bet my time by .15 but should have been more, ****, the last corner i got to exited, and made a mess of it.

T1 22.537
T2 46.143

with the shaded double yellow line area, which is on the left when u approach the second corner after T1, can u have two wheels in it, and two wheels completely to the left of it, or does two wheels have to be to the right of it for it to be legal?

in my lap, i wasnt sure, so i put two wheels to the right of the area to make sure, and what about the single yellow line just b4 the area, do u have to be inside that?

No improvements today, but only done 5 or 6 laps.

And to be honest only did those to keep hand in.

DFP is the only tool for the job this week, you can FEEL how this lovely lady is behaving before you can hear the tyres squealing!

She floats like a butterfly, stings like a slap on the inner thigh!

Gently does it,

treat her right, and she rides like the wind!

Think you should be having two wheels to the RIGHT of the inner SOLID yellow line mate, according to CFM you can only put more than 2 over the yellow line when there are rumbles outside it!
See post #4 pics and post #77
As long as you have 2 wheels inside/on the SOLID yellow line in that area then it's legal

*checks Superbird brochures for the proper hex designation but doesn't find any*

Go on then... what's the HEX value for Walnut Metallic?

i had a quick question i need answerd b4 i go do anymore laps

for the entry of the right turn, right after T1~ are we allowed to cut the full corner?
quick reply would be greatly appreciated... dont wanna set a dirty lap hehe

what does solid mean?

The Oxford English Dictionary defines it as.....

solid

• adjective (solider, solidest) 1 firm and stable in shape; not liquid or fluid. 2 strongly built or made. 3 not hollow or having spaces or gaps 4 consisting of the same substance throughout. 5 (of time) continuous. 6 able to be relied on; dependable or sound. 7 Geometry three-dimensional.

• noun 1 a solid substance or object. 2 (solids) food that is not liquid. 3 a three-dimensional body or geometric figure.

— DERIVATIVES solidity noun solidly adverb solidness noun.

— ORIGIN Latin solidus.
Therefore do not put more than 2 wheels outside the SOLID yellow line in these areas,
ALSO,
stop tryin to be a smart-ass, it just doesn't work!

You did ask!

8 laps in so far and I am loving this combo!!!

23.375
48.147

Also...

I was simply poking a bit of fun at Kol's flame test last week, by making fun of her truly complimentary post towards CFM's efforts with the WRS. I do agree 100% with her posting and am glad she stuck around.

Kolyana saw the humor of my jest right away, but due to a language barrier some didn't... we all need a good dose of helium... lighten up... This place isn't meant to be all work and no play.

@ Holl

Look at the pics and text in post #4 and #77

The continuous line on the left-hand side of the track is the limit of the legal track, anything outside of this is irrelevant unless there is a rumble strip outide of it!

Thought it was perfectly explained by CFM, maybe i was wrong!

But don't think so!

@Hot

Normal rules apply i would assume, the SOLID (as defined previously) yellow line is the limit of the track UNLESS there is a rumble-strip on the other side of it, THEN and ONLY THEN, the rumble is the limit of the track.

JEEZ, who thought it would be so hard to explain the concept of a solid line to a student? Does no-body do technical drawing/Draftsmanship anymore?
