No AI touching allowed and concrete is part of the track.

Standard Clean OLR Rules:

Thread rules:

Submission:

All submissions must be sent by PM to me (sjaak68):
  • you can submit only once per race

Time verification:

Save your replay and keep it at least a full week after the time has been submitted:
  • fastest times each week will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • when a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide a replay before the next race deadline
  • failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from WRS results
  • video replays are not accepted, only .max, .xps or .sps files can be verified

The options for the ai are free to choose.
You can set them so that all will be overtaken before the first corner.:)

too bad :) +10 would give some interesting battle, but even at +0 you can easily overtake them before the first corner if you tract well.

Ran a few races to get a banker in ... and its one of those where you just keep knocking chunks off every race even when you think you cant see anymore speed 👍 .. here's my first save after running at +2 AI difficulty to have a clear space to pass the spoon before turn 1 :)

L1 - 34.033/57.404 ( seen 33.9 and 57.2 )
L2 - 24.728/47.894
L3 - 24.525/47.670 ( seen 24.4 and 47.5 )

Still another .6 - 1 second for me to find overall .. I'll be back on this for sure 👍

Ahh, another week of that glorious frustration known as WRS. Love the track! The car? Not so much. Still, we'll see if I can hit my personal goal of a silver time in D2. By the way, Mr. P., usually the chunks of time I wind up seeing is the difference between your times and mine!!!👍👍 I guess I need to drive a little more because last week was 40-50 hours and still I never threatened my division leaders!!:banghead:🤬:crazy: Speaking of last week, my hearty congrats to the winners!!!👍👍👍:cheers: Now I'm off to Mid-field!! I have lost everything on my memory card after using the maxdrive again .. luckily I grabbed my weeks 124 and 125 and put them on my pc before the card went corrupted! .. but I have lost my week 126 and every single replay I had on my card :grumpy:

please disregard my splits as I will have to run again to get a save .. I would have run again anyway but this has really pissed me off as I had a pretty decent banker already :yuck:

I'll be back with some splits tonight hopefully :ill:

Only the first lap was good. Mr P, why do you use AI difficulty at +2? -10 is easier to pass everyone before the first corner.

for some reason I never thought about -10 AI :dopey: I took it for granted that 0 was the minimum :dunce: Thanks for the heads up mate ;) totally lost my bearings there :P
 
I guess this is a good race to get back into WRS. This is the same track my first WRS race was at.

I don't consider myself as "pro" as some guys here, but I've been having quite good results. Try to control throttle in lower gears. I don't use less than 3rd gear but at the start. The long corner before t2 is done in 4th gear. I'm starting in 1st gear at 70% throttle, but I'm not certain yet whether 2nd gear is better. I don't know either when is the right time to shift. Looks like it's a bit after the redline?
As this is an FF car, lift throttle to turn more easily as you enter the corners.

A few tips:
- start in 2nd gear
- turn in late
- take the sharper corners in an higher gear
- use half-throttle to create grip in the long lefthander and thus round it faster

I am speed ... I am lightning ... I am ... oops sorry ... thinking of that other racing game I play :). Some early splits to pad out the rear with, not great but to be honest a lot better than I'm normally doing this time of the week and this after running only four or five races.

The launch is tough, 2nd for me and a few mad gooses(thanks mike) I'm still not pressing the exit of the roundy as I've not found the sand there yet, the right kink is still my long time nemisis so I'm just bliping the brake there so I can hit the hairpin just so.

current strategy: ai -10, same compound, tcs on for liftoff purposes. my 'fast' first lap might be helped by some start-off ai slipstreaming but i'm not sure. next thing to work on is to minimize tyre noise so i know i have optimal grip in the bends.

Yes, you're dreaming .... you're obviously tired, please stop to the side of the road while I pass :) It's good to see a bit more of a mixup this week, last week definitely sorted the men from the boys (not to mention flushed out an egomaniac or two).

Don't get too relaxed though, I'm certainly not done yet. The bug has a special place for me as rumour has it I was conceived in one (original of course, not new).

I have no chance in hell of beating that save .. ran a few attempts after dinner tonight and beat my old save by a pathetic .1 overall :grumpy:

.. seen some 33.6's and 56.9's on lap 1 but none faster as yet( that 56.7 is a crazy split :scared: ) .. my best fast lap can match your lap 2 but not consistent enough to string 2 together for some reason :grumpy: I will keep trying but it certainly looks like you are beyond my abilities already .. Great run man 👍

When I get a decent lap 1 I usually mess up on either lap 2 or 3 with a skid in the last tunnel and lose loads of time .. going by my best laps against this save I'm still .5 or .6 off the best race time I could possibly get with the .350 I lost on lap 1 and the .2 off on lap 2 :ouch:

I cant compete with you on this one Hugo 👍 and I'm almost ready to throw the towel in due to the countless restarts trying to get the best launch to hit a decent T1 on lap 1 and then to hold it for 3 laps :crazy:

Will probably submit this one before the weeks out, Good luck to all.
