Splits update for me :D, i found a little in the middle but still having a bad time in the last turn :(

0'33.942/ 0'57.265

0'24.718/ 0'47.922

0'24.612/ 0'47.789

Hugo Boss? Kelly? and maybe Kent's back too?

Aaarghh! We are all doomed! :scared:

Another session and dropped 4 seconds off my overall time. Can't have these Div III guys pushing me around :) ... okay, Snod ... time to get it in gear ...

35.005 58.663
25.307 48.878
25.036 48.462

First of hopefully 2-3 stints...

34.157 57.551
24.739 47.969
24.599 47.873
Cumalative: 1'23.495 2'33.393

First session:
34.111 57.648
24.959 48.276
25.097 48.506
1:24.167 2:34.430

This is with TCS - although I have been going back and forth and have not decided if one is faster than the other overall (although TCS is certainly quicker on the launch). Any difference between the two is still overshadowed by my improving lines.

TCS can't be faster, this car doesn't have much of a traction issue once you're going, and when it does spin an inside wheel a bit, it doesn't seem to slow you down... As for getting off the line at the start, hold the throttle at about 75% or so(in second gear) until the tires grab and then bring it up to about 98% and gradually full throttle and it just hooks and goes. I haven't tried TCS, so I'm not sure how it compares, but I doubt it's much faster than that, if any.

And, since I'm so close to people, I'm going to go do some more races after my shower before work... :sly: I'm back in the competition of the WRS, this feels great!

Tried with TCS (definitely faster, I reckon). Feels like cheating, almost...

L1: 34.327/58.000
L2: 25.266/48.833
L3: 25.287/49.037

With the TCS on you can just chuck it into corners and come out OK...

More time to be taken off for sure, no end of apexes were missed and too much sliding was going on.. But this is OK for now :)

Don't look now but you're already on the leaderboard with faster times. An evil (but fast) twin maybe?

What's all this talk about 'evil twins' ?

34.307/57.881
24.889/48.238
24.660/47.882

Cool,

When the first lap is very ok,the next two must be raced with the nerves factor.:D

I just can't beat my time :grumpy:

had the lap 1 and 2 just to royally screw it up lap 3 :dunce:

I'll probably be submitting my time from 1st session, I'm quite happy with it anyway :)

New splits ...

34.819 58.446
24.731 48.216
24.841 48.241
--------------
2:34.903

Think that gets'ya Snod ... now for your evil twin :) As for Sjaak ... bollocks ... that's seriously quick ... I've seen a 47.xxx anything maybe once this week ... gotta work on that launch too!

Looks like almost everyone's faster than me...

I miss my ghost car :(

By the way, are we allowed to qualify so that we can get to the front of the grid??

New splits :D

L1: 34.531/58.277
L2: 24.931/48.394
L3: 24.879/48.267

Much happier now :)

I miss my ghost car :(

Not to give away any secrets but I've spent most of my time practising in time trial mode and then run a few races at the end of the session. I have a ghost saved which is pretty fast at this point (57.xxx second split and a fast finish) so it's good practice chasing it.

At the end of the week I'll probably spend more time in race mode but right now I'm still trying to learn the fast lines and in race mode you don't tend to want to take as many risks. Later on it will be more important to execute on the learnings for three laps.

And gotta work on that launch :(

BTW ... my lunatic side (maybe my inner evil twin :)) thought a really cool way to run this race would be to run a few laps and figure out who the slowpoke is in the pack and then see if you can make them win a three lap race by wiping out all of the other cars.

Hmmm, I tried practising in time trial mode but without the tyre wear the car felt completely different and I didn't think it was much use...

Also, I've changed my mind, it's faster without TCS ;)

Ran some last night and found some consistant laps, still looking for another .5 or so total...

34.106/57.533
24.677/48.026
24.693/47.944

New times:
34.371/57.921
25.075/48.733
24.983/48.629
Definitely not happy yet, although I really love this combo. It really requires smoothness and consistency, which I really need practice with. Races are consistent in themselves, so that all laps are similar, but the next time I race, I use completely different lines.

I'm hoping for 24.7xxs and 48.4xs.

Played some more last night as well as this morning, and although I can get my first lap faster, I ALWAYS either go off or go slow on the second and third laps... DOH!

Not much faster splits but some what faster at the line ;)

0'33.889/ 0'57.144

0'24.694/ 0'47.873

0'24.552/ 047.686

ps . KLR thats is the very same thing i do off the line 👍

Back with new splits:

33.933 - 57.254
24.644 - 47.843
24.558 - 47.638
1'23.135- 2'32.735

Lost a bit at the first lap and 0.4 at lap 2.

last week definitely sorted the men from the boys (not to mention flushed out an egomaniac or two).

Just to set the record straight ... despite the ineptly confused language this comment was only directed at one person ... and he definitely knows who he is :). Tooting your own trumpet ... I may have been away too long but that definitely seems rather un-aussie to me (but what would I know, I'm just a croweater).

Truly terrible last sectors and the overall time only .5s better but the splits look good :)

34.022 57.556
24.706 48.005
24.792 48.351

Getting back into the swing of WRS - but Midfield has never ever been my best track!
34.355 / 58.047
25.103 / 48.819
25.225 / 48.939

I submitted my time :) No improvements made in the meantime.

Good luck and have fun to all still running this race 👍
