Finally an update for me:

1 2.04.056 - 3.50.166 - 6.08.667
2 1.58.601
3 1.58.601 - 3.44.399

I think there still some progress possible between t2 en t3 for me. Also made a big mistake between t3 and t5 where I was almost standing still to avoid the grass. Unfortuneatly I wasn't able to finish the lap clean :(

I will not be able to try again today or tomorrow so hopefully I got some time tuesday to better the final laptime.

I'm injured again, so I had to resort to the old DS1 to play this week. Using the controller instead of the wheel is probably the reason why I'm not enjoying this week as much as I usually do. :indiff: Anyway, I played until I got a clean (though with lots of time left everywhere) lap to submit:

1. 1'55.942 - 3'32.536 - 5'41.128 (with scary moments at T4 and T9 :scared: )
2. 1'55.514
3. 1'55.514 - 3'32.268

Edit: I just noticed something at the first post: it says the deadline is on tuesday 14th April, but it should be 15th.

My usual morning session while waiting for breakfast.

#1 T3: 1:56.598 - T5: 3:40.728 - T8: 5:55.478

#2 T3: 1:56.598

#3 T3: 1:57.769 - T5: 3:39.748 (lost a full second here but made it up at T8 above.)

Actually took 2.1 off at the line. For now I'm pleased. I'm having a great event #2 but that's it. I guess I'm being to conservative.

Small improvement in my splits and a larger improvement at the line.

1. 1:57.386 - 3:37.721 - 5:51.739
2. 1:57.386
3. 1:57.386 - 3:37.721

I'll come back to this one, might focus more on the hillclimb events to see if I can leverage that into an overall lap improvement. 👍

Still having fun with this.

Kevin

Barring a Monday miracle, I'm done with this one. On a track this long in a car that wants nothing more than to leap off it, successfully and cleanly chopping off two seconds more is simply beyond my ability. It's been a fun one, though, no mistake about that. 👍 Nice job by all who have tackled this tough combo.

Sorry to hear you're injured and not at your usual spot near the top of the leaderboard, CMir. What is the injury that prevents you from using the wheel? I think we need a special DL (disabled list) division for those who are hurt and can't play to their potential, like you and Kenny. ;)

I'm finally starting to get it, and it is becoming more and more fun! :)

T3: 2'00.401
T5: 3'40.446
T8: 5'54.398

A bag full of mistakes, but it is so hard to correct them, I would like to find another 5 secs at the finish, but I doubt I will....

EDIT: Weird, I just knocked 3 secs off my lap time, but all splits slower than above, I must really suck from T8 - finish!

It's a sprained ankle, exactly the same injury I had 3 months ago, it does not allow me to use the pedals. Too much soccer takes me to this :ouch: I'll probably use the controller again next week, then I hope I will be able to return to the wheel on week 157 or 158.

This car is so much fun. I love the gearing and power. :) I ran 2 laps so far. On the first I sheared off both the left side wheels. The second was clean:

T3 2'02.048
T5 3'44.009
T8 5'57.533

Edit: crash out the 3rd lap and made it on the 4th:

T3 1'59.800
T5 3'39.556
T8 5'50.068

4 more crashes then another one all the way:

T3 1'58.043
T5 3'38.009
T8 5'48.252

One more tonight, I mean this morning... :)

T3 1'57.959
T5 3'36.128
T8 5'46.008

Dragging the anchor a bit on T4/T5 but the start is good ...

2. 1:55.025
3. 1:55.025 - 3:35.336

Tried to finish the lap and was going well until I put a wheel on the grass around the back fast section and left about three miles of skid marks while trying to recover it :D

This is just too much fun.

I decided to get a bit less aggressive in the spots where the car jumps around and tends to fly off - especially between T8 and T9 - it was getting rather frustrating to have invested some seven minutes in a run just to have the car fly off the track.

Improved all three

1:55.296 3:32.001 5:41.286 (terrible finish - was 2.9 sec ahead of my ghost at T9 and finished the lap only .8 ahead :ouch:)
1:55.149 3:31.557
1:54.409

Gave the Short Hillclimb a thorough go and gained a stunning 5 seconds to:

2: 2'05.224
2: 2'03.832
3: 2'04.857 - 3'53.987

and I think I'll leave it to that because I see no way I can gain the needed 5 3 seconds to step up one single spot in LUXY :scared: but otherwise enjoyed a Nurbie week like no other for which I thank Jerry bigtime  EDIT updated up to post 112

To bigrew - no worries mate :)

To Jerry & all - here's a pic that might be used for the results thread.

Pay attention to the camera that caught me speeding

Wrong game, you're thinking of NFS ... Need For Speed-Cameras :D. Coming from Adelaide, the hidden photo-radar capital of the world I got a laugh out of that one. Thanks.

P.S. Thank goodness you remembered to remove your plates before hitting the track :D

I set out to improve the short events, ended up getting slower at T3 and T5, but still got faster at T8 and the line. Go figure. :dopey:

1. 1:57.913 - 3:38.142 - 5:50.827
2. 1:57.386
3. 1:57.386 - 3:37.721

Submitting my time now.

This was simply an excellent event, Jerry. 👍

Just submitted my times. Thanks for another great event! If only I could have kept the car on the track, my times would have been much better. I'm learning all the time though and looking forward to the next event.

Cheers,

Ant

Found a little more, but that's it for me.

1: 1'55.834 - 3'33.245 - 5'41.763 (With a decent finish. Hope it's enough.)
2: 1'55.834
3: 1'55.834 - 3'33.245

Time submitted.

Potential repeat of Week 140 in the making... :nervous:

Shame I didn't have much time to spend on this... Actually only managed 2 sessions in total...

Submitting these splits:
1: 1'57.295 - 3'37.060 - 5'48.560
2: 1'57.292 (I know, it's only 0.003 sec, but every milisecond counts, doesn't it :P)
3: 1'57.295 - 3'37.060

I"m done!
#1 T3: 1:57.595 - T5: 3:38.593 - T8: 5:52.547

#2 T3: 1:56.497

#3 T3: 1:56.497 - T5 3:38.083

Very disappointed in myself this week.

Managed small improvements in all three events

1:54.999 3:32.294 5:40.645
1:54.347
1:54.347 3:31.252

Excellent event 👍👍👍

We should run this one on a regular basis

time submitted alryt i only ran 10 laps as it got in the way of my GT5P, and i just couldntlet that happen :( but good luck to all who ran just was'nt for me this week!

QUIK!

I have been seeing "46.1"ish at T1 and "1'22.3" at T2 on a regular basis but couldn't keep up after T2. I ran the 1'52.790 when my T2 was 1'22.6. So, I see another .3 in there but I'll just submit what I have. Let's wait and see what holl01 comes up with.

I don't really know you from Adam mate, so I can't really say if your times are genuine / valid or not? .. just be sure that if you are beating Dan and an arm full of verified racers on the Nurb then you will 100% be requested for a valid replay for the said combo and failure to supply will result in a DQ!

I do hope you are just that good man as its always good for others to see that Dan is not unbeatable as he seems! and on the very rare occasion another racer will have the edge 👍

Just thought I would mention that and say "Welcome to GTP" in the same post ... :sly:
