Submission:

All submissions must be sent by PM to me (Sphinx):
  • you can submit only once per race

  • deadline is Tuesday 19th August 9pm GMT
  • if you are unsure of the deadline try this site


Time verification:

Save your replay and keep it at least a full week after the time has been submitted:
  • all gold times each week will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • when a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide a replay before the next race deadline
  • failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from WRS results
  • video replays are not accepted, only .max, .xps or .sps files can be verified
  • Those who have .xps or .sps files, can they please convert them to .max before submission

Gained .3 with a better ending + T2 and I'm done for this week. Probably a few tenths at T2, but I never get them on midfield.

Ah well, already gave it another try. I will not have time tomorrow and not allot time on Friday. And, as Bart already said, after that I will be away on vacation :D.

According to the rules posted, it looks like all hard surfaces are track. So you just need to be sure you do not have more than 2 wheels on grass and that you don't touch any walls. Likely not there so you can intentionally use sections that are normally OB, but to make it so we have fewer close calls or DQ's due to the tunnel sections. 👍 I'm guessing this will help in the first tunnel more than the second. I find that you often lose speed from jumping up onto the "sidewalks" like the one on the right side of the second tunnel. It was with RSS tires, but I know I had no issues holding the line with the right wheels on rumble and full throttle through that last tunnel in week 162.

I just put my first effort in this event and well, let's say there's some room for improvement. 💡

T1: 0'26.130 (I got a high '25 in one lap)
T2: 0'51.225

Btw, did I really have to buy this car, or did I miss it in the arcade lineup? (my funds are a little low, having restarted GT4 on the PS3)
 
I don't have that Honda model needed for this week. I'm using (not original) PAL version of Gran Turismo 4.
I looked thoroughly and can't find it (it's not there). I have 28 Honda models; there's not even a similiar model to the one we're using this week.
Help please.

Until this weekend I had never done any arcade stuff, but since you cannot find this car either, I guess it is true. So some you have to buy and some you have to earn by winning events in simulation mode. Some cars cannot be bought, only won.

In the beginning, Arcade Mode offers you 240 cars. To get the remaining 490 you must get them in GT Mode, either by winning them or by buying them.
 
oh ok. thanks for the info. (i was suspicious because i know there are 700+ cars in gt4, and i have less then 600 in arcade mode)

I didn't realize then, but I appreciate those RSS tires now that we're taking it with RSH tires!

Also cool that I've been doing this long enough to "remember when" on a combo, even if it hasn't been an extremely long time ago :sly:

I could find myself some tenths
but most of my tries I used 230 gearing but I think 220 is the way to go.

I ran some laps, got T1 26.0xx and T2 51.1xx

I sense very little room for improvement though, for me perhaps 0.2s, or 0.3s with luck
 
First session for me. Already found myself having to chase down a "quick" last sector in my first session. Managed a little better than this at T2, but this is my best at the line.

The middle sector eludes me here, for whatever reason, so hoping my last sector can make a little up like the last time we ran here.
