the gt40(race?) is good. race or road. but why, why, why did they get rid of the gt90!?!?! maybe they will bring it back with the other 500+ cars, online gt4 for the america release...

I drove the GT40 once, in one of the License tests, it was awesome !! Too bad its so hard to win. But I only drove the old school 1960's GT40, what does everyone think of the GT40 Concept(New) versus the old one ?

They Fu**in well better put the new GT40 in GT4 (notice how alike those names are ?.. A match made in heaven ?) or I'll have to Al Quida the SCEE building

Edit: I think it has been renamed to just GT as somebody else owns the GT40 trademark

So do you know why it was called GT40 in the first place ? (The original )

It's got great, great handling, especially for a machine made in the 60s. While it doesn't compare to more modern LM racers, it's still a great drive.

I like it, but it doesn't sound like that in real-life. Well, i've only seen a race car GT40, not a road car, but Dad drove a road version GT40 a few months ago and it would be an understatement to say that he loved driving it.

The new one in Gran Turismo Concept sounds a lot more like it does in real-life than the old one in GT3.

id have to agree.... yesterday when i say the post that inspired this poll i didnt have anything to say.... my first impression of the gt40 was that it was crap in gt3 but that was due to the seattle liscence and its crappy understeer when exiting turns... but i set up my gt40 how i like it and raced i think 4 laps on apricot having fun and driving like i do ever other car... without asm or tcs the car actually handled fairly well with a top speed limited to 160ish i think.... each lap i shaved off about 2 to three seconds on turns and got bored at 1.14.323 for a race car that is kinda slow but still fast considering my fastest road cars with about 300-400 hp with similar driving lap at about 1.19 i think... havent used any other race cars cept the vert and the 787b but those were on midfield where i lapped below 1.9-8 (dont remember exact) adn usually i am about 5-6 seconds slower on apricot than on midfield i believe which would make the car about as fast as the vert adn slighlty slower than the 787b with my style of driving. remember that i have each car set up in a similar way to lower top speed and if i did not do this i have no doubt that the two modern race cars would be much faster lol... just cuase the gt40 has no 6th gear which both sucks and is annoying. i gave the times as a relative indicator as to how fast i drive other cars and the gt40 for the first time... BTW its brakes are not soft and it acc like a modern day race car adn i feel that it handles better than the vert... but no where near the 787b.. ok i am out
