Hi i just heard the news about this new feature that will apear in gt4 .
I only have dial up , so i cant really play this video on my computer .
so can some one tell me please more about this feature or what u sore on the video.

Check the GT4 videos. Jordan just added them today, or yesterday since its 1:24 AM here.

Well, basically what you see is the BMW 120d on The Nordschleife crashing in barriers alongside the road to show off the new crash effect. When the car hits the barrier the screen shakes, the view gets blurry(both these things only happen in first person view) and you loose control of the car for about 2 seconds. That's basically it.

This is a little off topic but it does relate to the video...

I have been reading very encouraging things about the GT4 driving model being much improved over GT4p. However that video seems to blow those comments out of the water. Simply watch the car off the line. Full revs, straight into first and.... Nothing, the car just takes off. Bull****. Totally arcade. Where is the wheelspin?

Div is back
It's a Bmw Serie 1! Dude, it's normal that it doesn't wheelspin! Duh!

Why not? Does it only have 5hp? Come on, even smallest hatches can spin the wheels quite freely.

Edit: maybe it has some kind of TCS that won't let it spin? Is that what you are saying?

No, the car is just too weak! period

If their was TCS you would have seen a Light flash to indicate that the wheels are spinning.

Um.....there WAS a light for the TCS, on the bottom left, am I right? After he crashed and I heard the wheels trying to spin I saw an indicator flash over and over. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

Yes there was TCS, but the light did not flash at the start. But doesnt GT model two types of TCS? TCS as in the light and options menu which is a game driving aid and then surely cars with TCS in real life would still have TCS even if its turned off in the menu? Correct?

Anyway getting side tracked. I personally have smoked up the tyres of an Hyundai Excel. Are you really telling me that a BMW could not do it? Thats absurd.

...it was a new "impact-effect" which i saw in another video(i think it was E3:driving with an Astra DTM at amalfi and hitting the wall in the first corner!)
...it´s a nice detail this "rumbling", it makes u feel as u would sit right there in ur car!!!:) 👍
....but i´m not playing with the inside camera that much:
inside cam--25%
1.outside cam--55%
2.outside cam--20%(only at rallys or license tests cuz u can see very much with this cam!!!)

...whooo....just this detail is letting me "burn" for this game!!!....oahhhh...c´mon december!!

Basically when you drive with any controlle other than the DFP your forced into driving with certain aids on that the game doesn't display that includes a level of TCS that stops you from wheelspinning too much that you can't turn off.

BMW has a TCS which you can't turn off in this demo, and that is the reason for lack of wheelspin. However, be sure if the TCS was off, I'm pretty sure you could do a wheelspin without even pressing the pedal to the very end.

I love the sound of the engine revving and at low revs when spinning, cool sound when rumbling over the grass too.

Thanks amar you're the goats biscuits !!

This movie is AMAZING its shows what happens when you crash and everything like the screen blurs and shakes MUST SEE!!!!

Yes but that was not in effect at the line because the light does NOT come on. Or are you talking about a second type of TCS? And if so how do you know its there?

That's easy. Gun it ( or brake torque it ) and see if those tires spin. If they do, it ain't on. If you hear the motor wind down after a peak and the tires SLOWLY spinning, then it's on.
