Only way they could is remove the borrowing system or a 1 million credit limit for it.

no they can maybe introduce a code into the game that gives the car back to the original owners once you leave gt5

I'm the proud owner of 27 x1s! And I want everyone to get them. Hopefully that will result in more guys getting good at racing them, and holding more online x1 races. We need more x1 racers out every night. PB glitch was a good thing.

By the way, I did have 3 x1s before the pb glitch started.

Maybe the complainers should collect stamps and leave the racers to get the cars they want to race with? Just a question.

The level feature should have been used more widely regarding cars, not only to regulate buying them but also driving them. If a lvl0 player glitches themselves an X1 they should have fun watching it in the garage until lvl35 when it can actually be driven. The same system would take care of all the duped expensive race cars as by the time one would hit the level required to drive them they should also have enough money to actually buy them. The result, no need for glitching and duping. Not to mention a lot of royally pissed "allformenowfornoeffortandfree" people but hey, if you can't earn it, you shouldn't have it. And you should probably be playing something else than GT5 as it would be a lot more suitable.

Waiting for someone to tell me that I'm absolutely wrong, that it's a fact and that their opinion is more valuable than mine. Pretty sure it'll happen soon.

I agree 100% the level system is messed up and not utilized the way it should likely be used. Same can also be said for the credit system online vs grinding. Sure its easy to make a billion credits grinding. But really...what great purpose will it serve? Yet I can race my usual 3 hrs per night online, fighting for every position, spending endless hours testing and tuning 7 days a week, and receive very little in the way of credits. I came by my 36/35 the hard way with near zero grinding, no million point glitching, and mostly online racing.

PB glitch away my friends, and see you online when you are done...I'm guessing Aug 29/30.

Let´s hope they do decide to rid the game of the Perma-Borrow glitch.

A lot of things ruined the true fun of the game unfortunately.

Don't know about you guys, but I'd love all duped cars to be taken away.

Also race rewards to be lowered and lap glitches axed.

Bet I seem like an old fart to some of you. :p

Not an old fart, just a troll mate.
You don't like how other people play the game?
Then develop your own game and enforce your own rules.
The perma-borrow glitch is beyond my patience, and download limitations.
But i'm not going to point a finger at someone who does it and cry 'wah' from the mountain tops.
How other people enjoy their game should have nothing to do with how you enjoy yours.

^ Indeed. Things like that just ruin the true fun of the game.

Looking forward to this update.

How does my glitching ruin your fun with the game?
I severally fail to understand how my GT5 experience can ruin yours.

If PD hadn't restricted trading I could have had the cars I wanted already.
If this glitch wasn't possible and GT5 functioned like PD wanted it to, I could never get the cars that I wanted.
I wanted the 7.3 Zonda, but I could see here that I would need to wait over 1600 GT5 days for it to show up in the UCD.
I don't want to restart a race 1600 times for ONE car, but I want the car.
It's senseless to make the player wait 1600 ingame days for certain cars to show up, and I don't see how me cutting those days away is hurting your or anyone else's fun with the game.

To me, it seems like people with that opinion is out to ruin the game for others, while us who are using the glitch and minding our own business, only want to change our own experience with GT5.

There is a case to be made that by closing the duping loophole, those who missed out are pissed off, and frown against those who duped, because those people can't now dupe the million+ cars.

If I bought GT5 today, I think I'd be pretty pissed off to discover that I have to grind to get all those multi-million credit cars, yet people who got the game early got a free lunch. I guess those who are against duping are against it either because they missed out, or because there is a ****-ton of work ahead of them to get all the cars.

And to be honest, I would say that's a fair point. Polyphony should have the left the glitch open. The horse had already bolted months before, anyway. This was like shutting it after the horse had bolted, won the Grand National and is back in the stable chilling out.

Hey Korix,
I have a few x1s online right now. Pm me if you have any requests.

That will get their blood boiling!

And this makes sense why? The level system is non sense. The "skills" required to earn about 99% of the cars in game include grinding and skipping days via license tests. One's A-Spec level is a meaningless number. A-Spec level 40 is no more deserving of an X1 than a level 0.

If you want to drive it, you shouldn't be forced to earn it. If you want to earn it, go ahead.

Lol no thanks Oshawa-Joe, even though that would be funny :P
Already have an X1 that I "earned" myself, and a carbon one that I borrowed.

And deep_sky, I can understand that as well, but the only one to blame is PD.
Not for accidentally having a glitch in the game and leaving it open for too long, only to close it in the end, but for making a system that forces you to cheat if you don't want to restart races 1600 times until a certain car shows up - thinking of my own case here.

Why oh why do they feel the need to implement a system in their game that pisses all over its players? The UCD is ridiculous for making people wait for THAT long until cars shows up. And that's not even taking into account that you don't know when certain cars are showing up, unless you use unofficial websites - which I'm guessing most people don't.

What I don't get is why they go out of their way to create systems which only purpose is to annoy the player. The UCD is one example, another is the paint chip system, another is not allowing rim changes on standard cars (which was obviously possible in GT4), another is continuing the oil change bug (is it even seen as a bug anymore?), another is randomly choosing what cars to make premium (Veyron anyone?) and the list goes on and on and on.
It's like they want the worst for the costumers. Like they want to create the best game possible, only to **** all over it in the end, call it art, then ship it off to stores.
Why PD, WHY!?

Too bad getting 99% of the cars in GT5 takes absolutely no effort or skill. You just need the time. So all you did was have the game on longer to get what you have than someone else who duped, glitched, etc. That's not really something to be proud of.

Well the whole point of these cars is for them to be hard to get, rare, and valuable among the online community. This is the whole reason PD put a limit on trades. There wasn't supposed to be a countless number of these cars and only those who put in the effort to get them should have them - this is fairly common amongst Online games. People should be able to go online with a 20,000,000cr car they worked their asses off for and not have assholes constantly nagging on them that they just perma-borrowed it. That's ********. Exploits like this upset the balance amongst the people who play the game as it was meant to.

It takes some hard work, long hours, dicispline, and dedication to get these 20,000,000cr. cars. I even sympathize for the X1 drivers who compeleted the Vettel challenge to get their dumb X1s the right way... god I hate that car. I don't know if there is anything to be proud of but as one person has pointed out in this thread - if you can't earn it the right way, maybe you should play another game?? Another game where there isn't grinding? Another game where you can get all the cars you want right up front? Another game with everything you want? Why do you people constantly look for cheats, loopholes, and exploits to crack this game down when its so obvious how much you actually hate it?

Its even more pathetic to think that there really are people out there who rub their cars up against walls and barriers all day long looking for the next big glitch. This is all they do... there are people out there borrowing cars, reinstalling game, deleting game data, redownloading patches countless numbers of times just to find some combination in which lies hidden some glitch somewhere in the trading/borrowing system.

A year ago if you had people running around on World of Warcraft with a perma-borrow glitched Shadowmourne, holy **** the internet would meltdown from the complaints! The more this thread goes on, the more I wish PD would have the balls to retake all the perma-borrowed cars across the entire community. I have never seen such unrest and division amongst what used to be a pretty tight fanbase over something so stupid and unfair. We should support those people who put in work and give them props when we see them and not just write off every 20,000,000cr we see online as a perma-borrowed dupe.

The quoted post is terrible because it doesn't make sense.

Wow, you sound angry. Grinding to get 20,000,000 credits will do that to you I guess.

I still firmly believe that PD limiting the value of cars that can be traded stifles Capitalism.

A lot of things ruined the true fun of the game unfortunately.
Why don't both of you cry to the developers telling to them to patch the glitches, does it even matter if they dupe or do the perma-borrow glitch...no, let people play how they wanna play if they thinks its fun...who are you to ruin other peoples fun?

It was actually capitalism that left PD no choice BUT to enforce a limit.
I don't know if you remember, but People were offering X2010 trades on ebay.
Suckers were paying up to $50 for the opportunity. It's my understanding that is why the trading limit was introduced.
I don't like the limit, but I get why they did it.

Now that I don't remember hearing about at all. Thats just insane, paying $50 just to trade an ingame car? Thats just flat out desperation and unfortunately as with many only places like that, it sounds like flat out ripping off people. So its those guys that ruined it...

Anybody knows what this update will bring?

No its the gready people who could not wait to earn the car that ruined it if PD had woken up at the start and used an auction system like in Forza 3 this would never had happened.

Just ignore Jai, he plays the game practically 24/7, so he thinks he's a professional at the game.

Exactly what I want to express. 👍👍👍

Most of the last two pages have had nothing to do with update 1.11, is it impossible for a thread concerning something like this to stay on topic?

Since I've still yet to get my PS3 working, what issues have you guys been experiancing? I didn't really notice any myself last I played.

Really, blame should be placed on both ends. The people who even had the idiotic idea of making that kind trading deal should take just as much blame as the people who were actually that desperate for something already on their game disc.

I haven't touched GT5 in 5 weeks.. Ironic that you say that as someone who hasn't ever launched up to top me in various races.

Also, having an opinion of what should be done doesn't make me a troll.
