I did one lap in a standard car and it's already noticeable.

Cars actually seem to feel like their pitching on their suspension. It appears to be more noticeable in replays as well. At least I think it feels like this, I may be imagining it or something.

All is good here. Just played with the FGT car last night but having the option for cockpit view was nice. The load times are much better and I like the new load screens with no more black screen with a ticker across the top and instead shows each car loading in. Not a huge thing but I like it.

To add to a comment above on endurance races. I havent done it yet but I have read up that when you enter the pits you have the option to suspend race. When select it will immediatly ask you to use the PS button to exit the game. When GT5 is loaded back up you will immediatly be back in the race. I know some will gripe about this but personally this is all I wanted after a power outage 8 hours in then getting button happy and accidently exiting a race 15 hours in (though not sure how this would work with new save). It still makes in an effort to accomplish but doesnt require the machine to be on days straights with pause (or in my case a week or more)

And while not jumping for joy on the DLC I will be getting it and hoping as time goes on it gets better. Some of the old school tracks would be nice but I dont seen to many completely new cars getting added. What i mean by that is you might get a different years or variant of a cars that already exist but thats all I expect since I would think new licensing would need to be purchased (but I could be way wrong).

All in all pretty happy. After my PS3 crapping out a few months back and losing alot of my GT5 work (dumbass me didnt have a recent backup) I have almost recovered all I lost and have just recently started to learn to tune the cars and compete in the online time trials and holding my own I feel. So the new updates just make that much better

I played a little with my controller wheni get back home love it and plan on getting the DLC
I cant wait to set my wheel up again. on a sour note ''really more skylines''

I can't think of any other software houses that would produce such a major update, after nearly a year, completely free of charge. Thanks, PD.

yes, my mistake, it does come with the DLC
now comes another push of grinding to be able to get it....

Why do you need to grind - do you understand the concept of DLC ? You pay some money and you receive the goods - rather like any other purchase in life. Good grief :dunce:

Happy with pre spec2 GT5 so any enhancements, dlc etc etc is all good in my book.

I love it... the game is way faster and the G27 support is king!!!

I can't get that satisfaction song out of my head after reading the thread title.

I'm very happy with the update the new tire physics feels great! Thanks PD and thank you for Spa that alone makes me extremely happy. Can't wait for more DLC content.

Fixing the shadows is definitely the best thing about this update imo, replays look sooo much better now, still jaggy but much less noticable

Wait a minute, you've posted a satisfaction thread without even playing the game since the update? Why? So that all the fanboys can have a big love in?

Wouldn't it be better to wait, play it first, then give your detailed opinion on it instead of throwing in a completely random thread?

AI is said to be massively improved so I can't wait to try that out.
Kaz's race car looks pretty cool.
What wins it for me is that weather setup menu, can actually drive the Nurburgring day/night without rain :D

I think the problem is that most people look wrong at the game. PD likes having many cars to just play with. Like toy cars. But also putting in some realism for more expierenced drivers. Thats the way it has been for 17 years now. I don't see how the game in unfinished and bad. I really don't.

The title Real Driving Simulator is like it is. Driving, not racing. The sounds are ideal for driving. Not racing. Ofcourse, you can still race the cars. And turn off your tv's sound and pretend you are driving a Ferrari with V12 in 5th gear when you are hitting 100 km/h in a Honda Insight '99. It's all about fun, guys.

Lately GT has been put under pressure by Forza. Why? It's not a simulator, it's not even close to GT, there is not big car list, there is no throwing a car around a room pretending it's going 88 MPH, there is no loving cars.

Classic Game Room

Gran Turismo is about loving cars. LOVING cars.

Am I just crazy or do the standards look way better?
They look way better. Actually, I'm pretty sure they've been getting better since launch but not like an everyday thing.

WARNING:
IGNORE THAT STEPHEN CHARACTER. Don't feed the :dunce: with troll food.

Grow up doll.

Stupid 2.0 made me play the FGT championship till 8 in the morning. Good thing I didn't had to go to work today. FGT from cockpit view is just amazing. I can finally drive the car, used to have a lot of problems controlling it from bumpercam, dunno why.

A satisfied customer right here 👍

same here :)

and .... some folks will never be satisfied ...

Very happy bunny. I'm telling myself 'just one last race' for about 2 hours now. Hm, only 786 standards to try. Maybe tomorrow ;) Well done PD.

I love the updates. There is nothing to complain but DLC should have been more or less cheaper. PS + members are getting discount for 1st month hopefully the whole package will be 5$. I do not like DLC in games but will get it anyways

Now that I can change the time of day and turn off weather on the Nurburgring, the experience is like taking a vacation.
Thank you PD

Cheaper? Any DLC I've bought in the past for other driving games has offered far less for that money - NFS Undercover was around the same price for just a few boss cars; Shift was the same, an expensive exotics pack with a few tracks - nowhere near as much as PD is offering. DiRT 3 cost a bit less for a far smaller DLC - the story goes on...

So I think in truth the bundle for $12 (£9+) is a pretty good price from where I'm sitting. PS+ players pay a monthly subscription so that they get discounts and freebies.

The update and DLC is absolutely fantastic. To me, it's not really the detail of the cockpit that matters- it's the position of the driver that matters.

Ten out of ten here.
