GT5 - 300mph Club

There's already a thread for naturally aquired top speeds, which I'm also heavilly involved with, with over 300 records posted into the googledocs accompanying spreadsheet. Search is your friend.
This thread is purely about getting over 300mph in the game, by any means necessary.

Top speed runs thread - All tests performed using the 10km speedtest, 335 cars currently tested with no drafting runs allowed these results are all solo power.

Looks like time to start a route X lobby, find a couple of friends with X1's and veyrons, and get one of my racecars out.
 
Hey Smuttysy, you'll have to try and join one of the rooms I go in to sometime.

Last week, we were seeing how fast we could get various cars to go by following a few X2011's drafting each other. Though I was mostly being one of the "toe trucks", I personally took a GT-One to over 450mph, R390 Road Car to around 420mph, and a GTR - Black Edition to 385mph.

I remember one guy getting his Ford GT, Enzo, and SL 600 into the 390's. Was a fun room, albeit totally unrealistic. His Veryon and GT-one were getting into the 480's, only limited by his gearing ratio!

I never even thought to save any of the replays, as I'm usually into getting the X2011 up to top speed, but I'm sure all of the above can be reproduced quite easily with a couple of buddies. Come and try one of these rooms with us.
