I got this game for Xmas last year and have been playing for about a half an hour everyday. So for me I still enjoy it, but one thing I would love to,see is a real course maker. i have a Links Golf game from 10years or so ago and I could make the best golf cousres I dreamed up. i would like to be able to manipulate corners, vary my own track elevation, blah, blah, blah. Then share with others, that would be the ultimate for me, and the game would live on and on...

Online racing in GT5 certainly hasn't died. Competitive lobbies with fair racers, now that's hard to come by without signing up for one of the GT5 Championships.

There is plenty in this game to keep me going. My old account was almost completed untill my HDD took a turn for the worse. This meant I had to start again, but I wasn't annoyed or angry. instead I felt enjoyment that I could do the whole game again and even in a different way from last time.

This happened over 2 months ago and I'm already level 27 with over 200cars.

Gran Turismo is not dying.

Gran Turismo is just being born.
It's becoming more and more alive as we speak.
After more than a year, all the glitchers, crashers, twelve year olds, backwards drivers, etc. have mostly gotten bored and moved on. It's only the hard core players that still race. Now is the best time of all to join a random online lobby.

This game is just starting to walm up, its getting better and better every month, dead? No chance! Not until gt6

As long as there are constant update and new content/DLC offer. GT5 will be alive till GT6.

I'm curious as to how many people play online vs offline. I mostly play offline, at least 3-4 days a week. I'll never get bored of driving/testing stock cars around the 'ring. :D

Almost all of my racing is offline, and in Arcade Mode Pro with bots on 10. I mod up just about everything, and those bots make it a challenge in many races just to make 3rd. And the replays look stupendous, great Photo Mode fodder.

There are no prizes or awards, but who cares? The racing IS the reward. :D

GT5 dead or dying? Doesn't seem like it to me.

After playing gt4 for SIX years and being happy as a clam:lol:, I find myself bored with gt5 after only a year. I drift, I drag and I race circuit regularly, but I'm just not seeing the depth that gt4 had even with just offline. Then again the servers are awful so online is very frustrating. There are only 200 cars that are really cool because they are premium and no special a spec challenges that are actually difficult like the 3 lap battles or 1 lap magic. Maybe gt4 had more depth, or maybe online play has spoiled us all, but either way gt5 is on a downward slope that not even small batches of dlc and great updates by pd can cure.

Dying? I see it as even more alive than when it first came out.

Exactamundo!

Gran Turismo is just being born.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

No chance!

In hell :sly:

I have the "stock", if you will, version of GT5. I haven't updated it once and still am enjoying every second of it, espically in thecockpit of my Mclaren

I am however, am hoping that the Spec 2.0 disc might come to Australia though...

Still play it daily. Still find it just as enjoyable as the first day.

👍
