That's why i got a console so i do not need to install games on my PC ( which tend to crash the system due to lack of testing ). And to me it's not the wait it's the lies or the semi-lies, like ...
"we did not say it was coming out on december 2009", although fall 2009 they said it will come out soon, sooner that we'd expect. Well, i did not expect it to come out in 2011.
"we did not release the date for EU and US, the delay is just for the japan release", this kind of BS just gets to me. like i said ... semi-lies.
In order for them to be lies they have to actually know what they're saying is wrong. For all we know, they had every intention of releasing it when they said.
**** happens dude, in car development, game development, building development.
But whereas buildings are expected to run over time and budget (especially if they're a government building), and cars have no set release date, games are expected to show up on the dot no matter what could set them back.
Like I said, go occupy yourself with more of the great games you can buy. Nobody is forcing you to wait patiently in the corner, so if GT5 isn't out yet, it's still time for people to get over it.
And last I checked, many, many games still do an install on the consoles. If not that, then you have to wait a bit while it downloads updates so you can play on the internet (day 1 patches). If you've got a slightly older game, you have to download all the DLC so you can play online against people who bought it said DLC, even though you can't use it.
Really, compared to installing a game on Steam and letting it do an automatic update in the background by itself, there isn't much of a difference.
Except if your computer is an absolute abortion.
