That "soon" stuff is pretty exasperating :grumpy:

Soon means absolutely nothing, why didn't they just give a date, an hour or something else, instead of saying soon ever and ever
 
Wouldn't be surprised if we see an official release date this coming Tuesday 9th November. Black ops. Thunder. Stolen.

Nah that wont steal much thunder, millions of people will have this game and they will be excited to play it, a release date for GT5 will just be a bonus.

Well over the whole staff at Gamestop has the slightest idea what they are talking about.

I remember once i mentioned something about Race Pro(before it released) and both employees said "huh what's that"?
 
Yeah it's pretty fun to tell a GameStop employee, who is daydreaming about playing BO on his crapBox, that the GT5 1/1/11 date is just a placeholder so they can keep taking preorders.
 
Well, it's probably another rumored release date, but the new Video Ezy catalogue came out (Rental Service - DVDs, Blu-Ray, Games). And they've put GT5 down as a November Release. Yes, they're bad quality. But I CBA editing them.

And about the whole GameStop people knowing nothing about GT5.. I quite like EB Games (NZ/Aus version of GS). I was talking to an employee at the local store and by the way they were talking about it, they obviously want to get it lol. Even told me that people in the US are buying NZ GT5 for the 3 exclusive cars that you get. I still don't know what they are yet :confused:

For **** sakes, people. How many ****ing times does it have to posted; until we get an OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE FROM A SONY COMPUTER ENTERTAINMENT PRESS RELEASE, every single other date you are told or read is not the actual date.

I don't think it can be made any clearer than that...

Of course, I'm sure you could just go by what a teenager working in a game store says, making minimum wage... :rolleyes:

If Sony are the ones doing the date announcement, I have no idea why they'd want to steal their own thunder. In what world does that seem like sound logic? It will be a high seller for their own system, I don't think they'd want to minimize that with potentially having some would-be buyers hold-off because GT might be available in a few weeks.

(Then again, other than on these boards, I don't know a single person that's in the market for both COD and GT5 ;))
 
I Just got my weekly e-mail from Game Spot Canada which lists GT5 comming on Dec 7 2010!!!! Guess I'll have to go in every day and play the demo version until then!

Me. Amazon offers $20 off future purchase when you pre-order CoD. Makes the Collector's Edition of GT5 $80 some odd dollars with release date delivery.

Dude...relax. It may not be OFFICAL information but its still information. Which I for one am happy to get. With the Sony/Poly blackout I'm thirsting for just about any morsel of GT5 news. Especially release date news. :drool:

Maybe people like me are tired of people talking out of their asses with "my friend's buddy's best bud at GameStop says the game is coming out on <insert date>, ever think of that? Do you seriously think I'm the only one that gets annoyed with the constant posting of release dates as de facto information?

How many times does it need to be said that the only date that matters, will be the one announced by Sony? As we've seen, even that can change. So... if Amazon, GameStop, et. al. post a release date that hasn't been announced by Sony themselves, it doesn't mean a lick of difference.

Take a chill pill. It's just a game. God forbid people are excited over it now that it's getting close and like it enjoy a little speculation to help pass the time. It is fun to cruise the net and look for little bits and clues and try and come up with our own theories by piecing together information from those slightly more in the know than us. And yes, this is not worthless information. It also isn't definitive information either. As long as you don't translate it as such I don't see what the problem is. I'm excited to hear that a release party is planned and the shipment orders are in for France. It's not a release date but it is news about GT5 and on top of that, is is NOT bad news about GT5. So shoot me if I'm interested in more about GT5 than just an official release date announcement from Sony.

After the last news item, I'm believing this too. I have thought Dec 7th for a while now, but with this shipment at this time, the Australian contest end date, and the launch party date, Nov 30th is highly likely.
