GT5 first Anniversary!

I remember getting this at a midnight release. I played all night my first car was a infiniti G20 '90. I had collectors edition so had chrome line cars. First on them to tune was the R8 ahh what a year keep evolving GT5. Can't wait for Dec.
 
One of the most disappointing games i've had in the past year if i'm honest.
I've enjoyed the stuff i got free in the Sig edition than the actual game, I played through it and got bored within space of a couple months, i no longer even bother loading it up unless theres a special event that gives you a car or suit ect.
For a game that spent so long in development it was highly disappointing that it was still unfinished on release, Kaz may put it down to wanting to be a perfectionist but tbh its just arsin about, the standard car models are poor, theres a terrible amount of pointless cars in it which are just there to bump numbers up and need we say anything about all teh f'in skylines?
I preffered Shift2, sure it had one or two issues but EA dont try and control how you play the game like PD have been doing, every patch seems to contain some new restriction to limit what gamers can or cant do and Shift2 is a much more entertaining game. I've also just got a 360 and Forza 4 for the lil lad for xmas and i've been playing on Forza 4 while he's not here and its a far better game, more events in the world tour/event list, car models look better, addittedly not as many but it doesnt have 55-60 pointles skylines, all the models are the same quality, the storefront is a great place and something i've been saying games should have been doing for years, i actually wish i'd saved money on the sig edition and gone out n bought a 360 and Forza 3 as even that seems a better game after playing it at a mates house and trust me, coming from me, saying i prefer a 360 game over ps3 is something most thought i'd never say due to my hatred of MS.

GT5 has been nothing but a constant disappointment for me, from constant patches introducing 'new' features and fan boys claiming they putting them in for free, no, they should have been in already they were just p***in about putting skylines in instead of the features we're finally getting that shgould have been in, upto the ridiculous DLC debacle. I can honestly say that GT5 was my most regretted purchase last year (next to black ops) and its put a sour taste in my mouth for GT6, i'll still probs get the other DLC packs as my son loves any racinggame but i do feel that the paint chips should be reusable as thats ridiculous .

For me, Gran Turismo 5 has been fantastic. At first I didn't understand what the **** was wrong with it... but looking past all the little imperfections, GT5 is a solid sequel and PD's involvement with it has been pretty top notch. It's been one hell of a ride so far and I've never been so enthused and infatuated with a GT game.

I will say that right now, GT5 does stand alone in the series as the best game PD has made thus far.

Played tons of hours and still just scratched the surface!

Where's the full leaderboard support Gt5? think we'll get em by the time your two?
Will your Zombie AI Ever be interesting to race against? Will your city tracks
still have horrible screen-tear on every corner?
U suck GT5, just a little less now than on release :P

Ah, I remember the time the first time I had it. It was the Hong Kong Game Show 2010 and Playstation, but mostly Gran Turismo, was their theme. So, my dad and I went to the HKCIC and try out GT5! When I reach there, I saw the booth! It had a Logitech DFGT and, I think, a Playseat. One the line was clear, I seized the moment to get in the driver seat and drive! Sadly, I accidentally used automatic instead of manual. :( My first try was a Subaru Impreza Sedan in Trial Mountain Circuit. I think the managers where impressed that a thirteen-year-old can drive. :sly: After the race, I saw my dad showing me a plastic bag. Inside was a Region 1 Gran Turismo 5! I cannot believe it! I can play Gran Turismo all the time! (Although I can't download DLCs or join GT Academy Asia. :() Without GT5 in my hands, I wouldn't have made new friends in PSN, improve my photo skills :dopey: and finding GTPlanet! :gtpflag:

A bittersweet day for me. Exactly one year ago I bought GT5, and I still love it today. Sadly, my ps3 got the yellow light of death about an hour ago. I don't think I will be playing gt5 any time soon :(

It was fun while it lasted
 
Wow, GT5 turned 1 already? It's amazing how fast time, and the X2010 flies. Next thing you know, GT6 and the PS4 are gonna get released and you'll be thinking, "Hey, didn't GT5 just turn 1? What happened?"
 
One year of superb gaming later, I am still playing GT5.

Here is to year two.

which is exactly 1 year after GT5’s release over here. :)

Seriously though, I haven't played any other game for more than a week since GT5 came out, it was the main reason I got a PS3. Happy 1st birthday!
 
Wow shocking to find out it's already a year old I got a ps3 just for this game and is still the only game I have for my ps3

Just a dissapointing fail. Why the hell are you even on GTPlanet if you hate Gran Turismo.
