No GT5 has never frozen on me or any other game since iv'e had my slim PS3.

What PS3 are you using as my fat PS3 started freezing a lot just before it had YLOD.

Don't mean to worry you by the way 👍.

silly title mate but no iv not any problems................i remember when i first got the game i had trouble loading one of the amg special events and a licence event.

Seem to remember going into options and hitting restore corrupt data or something like that which seemed to fix the problem. give that a bash and see what other options that menu has.

i would also try loading the problem race individualy to see if its a problem with the championship or a single race, try it online and offline too. this is what i did when i had those probs with the amg and licence event.

I don't think that the slims are at risk of YLOD as much, try what pantherjag said first and go from there.

no problems here, Game only sometimes frozes for while if your internet connection is bad. Try to switch off your downloads

My game some time ago couldn't load Monza and Suzuka, it stuck on loading screen. To solve this, go to options and remove the installed data from HDD. Then install again, it worked with me:)
All in-game options!!!

Whenever I have freezing issues on the 360 or PS3, its usually attributable to overheating.

I have to vacuum the air inlets about every 3 months where dust collects on them, blocking the air.

Eventually dust will accumulate inside the console.
About once every couple years I have to blow out the console good with 100-120psi compressed air.

I still have an original working first gen X360 which was famous for overheating.

It is possible you could have something failing or beginning to fail in the console.
If thats the case, then it will be trade in time.

Most likely it is the ps3 unit, not the game, that is causing the freezing. I had a similar problem with my fat ps3 and RDR before it finally gave up the ghost. Once my slim arrived, no more freezing.

Did you really need to give your thread a title like that?

Try two things, maybe helps:

1) Clean the bluray disc, maybe it has some dirt. Or, worse, check if there is a scratch.

2) You can install all the game on disc and try again.

Good luck and say if you solve the issue!

Note: Please, change the subject of the thread, it seems a rant thread and could be misunderstood.

Probably your PS3. Check de GT5 DVD for little scratches.

If it turns out to be the PS3, change the thread title to:

Thank you, GT5, Thank you.

Ok.

:p
