You mean Pd, Max, or any other graphical interface?

Well, I'm not much aware or knowledgable about this subject but I do know that Brian Eno ( a well-known musician ) created a software program years ago which makes any piece of music perpetually change every time you listened to them.
Those changes were subtle mostly and could never be repeated in exactly the same way making each time you listened to them a unique experience ( much like a live concert ).
I haven't really followed its progress since ( or if he indeed did further developed it ) and not aware if it's freely available or just an idea that never caught on.
You might try to search the web for Brian Eno and perpetual music if interested.:)

Is that Pure Data? So these are data-stream-based software? I imagine Sony has their own suite of DSP-type functionality built into their first-party audio API, something lacking really in other such APIs. This generative music malarkey is quite big in Japan, as well.

That said, I don't see it happening. :( But, just imagine in photo-mode, as you draw the clouds in and get a bit of rain going to give the car that dewey glow under the diffuse light, and as you do so, the ambient music changes accordingly. Might be distracting; could be really good!
