On the TGUK on Forza topic; seems like Turn10 kicked PD in the nuts. :indiff:

I mean, what Turn10 could possibly do to blockade PD from anything! Will this mean no more TGUK content on future GT games!? How unbelievable!!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

There was nothing interesting, just like expected
They just talked about the Gamescom Demo as far as I know.

+1
I saw the mag in the newsagents today and the gt5 part is in the very corner of the cover so I think it wasn't the full game just the demo otherwise it would have been a bigger part of the front page.

Huh . . . the names of the German cars in Prologue are all capitalized. :dunce:

All the Japanese are written in English aswell, but he is true about the nouns. I would of thought they would of just capitalised them anyway, just to make it look better.

To be honest they would have to throw some serious money at the BBC to but a block on them dealing with anyone else... Plus GT5 already has the Test Track, which for me is worth a million times more than clips and yet another pay to own car pack for Forza.
I mean you go on youtube and youve got Top Gear clips coming out of your ears, so really all it seems to me is M$ are charging xbox owners for stuff they can get for free elsewhere... That is one reason I sold my 360!
But if people are willing to pay M$ money for free stuff then all power to M$ I say!

It's not an exclusive deal. It's just getting their foot in the door. BBC, as a public broadcaster, couldn't do exclusive deals like that.

Amazing and interesting how much influence FM3 has to this forum.

I don't mind the track appearing in Forza 4, why would anyone mind that? I'd just want it to not be exclusive to Forza 4.

Well I wouldnt mind them having the track, but really it seems they've paid huge wads of cash for clips and to use the stig name for one of their money grabbing car packs!

I dont think that they paid that much and when they did it will be good for the Top Gear franchise.

Another thing i am wondering about is that we will be able to drive the Mercedes SLS and the Lexus LFA in GT5. But what is about the Koenigsegg CCX? Koenigsegg isnt confirmed yet, right?

It's not . . . :nervous:

I think its just people like to peep over next doors fence to see whats happening...
I personally have visited next door, Well after a £40 a year subscription, gift cars (that I then had to buy to unlock) and constantly having pre teen Americans shouting all manner of inaccurate abuse at me (mainly about my race and sexual orientation)

Next door isnt a nice place to be!

Didnt your parents told you to not play and talk to strangers? Well, there are many crash kids around in FM, but also many many good and friendly people.

GT5 online wont be much different, because you have them everywhere.

Nooooot really. T10 didn't get squat out of the deal. Literally, nothing. 2 of those cars are pretty much in GT5, and I wouldn't be surprised to the the CCX. So all they really got out of it was...re-runs...of Top Gear...which they spliced into a VERY LONG compilation video...which will appear on youtube shortly afterward.

Really, it's more like MS TRIED to kick PD in the nuts and PD cut off their leg with a katana...and then laughed in their face. This time, MS looses miserably. They do need to stop playing copy cat and stop trying to pit their orange up against PD's apple. (They're completely different)

Regarding DLC, anyone remember this?

The most interesting thing: he states the car will be “available for download”. Could we be looking at one of the first cars to be featured in a DLC pack…?

By no means is it a confirmation, or even really a solid indication of DLC, but when you combine it with the fact that we were even given extra cars for Prologue, and Sony will no-doubt be pushing for extra revenue, I'd say chances are pretty good we'll see DLC.

Ahhh, apathetic parenting... "Take this game box, go in your room, talk to strangers and leave me alone."

Unfortunately they've started buying PS3s too. Every bloody time I pop in to something online, there are a bunch of loudmouths with a limited insult vocabulary (has Sony implemented a VOICE MUTE feature yet).

I find playing an insane mime to their linguistic debauchery and bigotry just makes everything so much more amusing. If you get them extremely riled up, you might just hear their parents come in and ground them (except for those parents that sound exactly like their kids). I know it's like baiting a troll, but...**thinking of a good excuse**

Lets hope Micro$oft doesn't wave a big bag of money infront of the Top Gear producers to make it a xbox exclusive for the future.
So we can enjoy it in GT6, GT7 and so on.

BBC owns the rights to TG and I thought there was some kind of British law or something that said BBC couldn't take any money from external sources cause they're a public/private entity something something or other
Yeah, that's about as much as I have heard about that.

I think 5th Gear is quite good actually

You're not alone. TG and 5th gear are not aimed at the same viewers. 5th gear is a more serious show with a few funny bits here and there while TG is the complete opposite.

I don't think TG on FM is a threat. They don't have the vast amount of cars, the Stig Challenges, Active Aero, or weather.

and: dynamic weather, nascar, wrc, red bull x1, track maker, kart's, and many more.

The BBC can't* take money to feature products in programmes, nor can it feature advertisements for non-BBC products in its schedules*. It can, and very aggressively does, market its output and branding as widely as possible - it has a statutory duty to do this and an entire division devoted to it. This is why BBC programmes and concepts are sold and broadcast around the world.

*subject to pretty obscure exceptions.
